E.g.
If you don't mind Amazon warehouse, you can get the gtx1070 (used very good) for 389, and get an extra 30 off, bringing it to 359. That's the lowest I've seen strix cards go, but other manufacturers have been lower.

Also the 1080 can be had for 511 (used very good) minus 50 bringing it to 461.

Probably combos count since you're buying that product

I don't know about used and display
I only put Amazon warehouse because they don't specify used or new on their receipts

Asus do not list Amazon as a Dealer for the motherboard promotion.

Ok thanks

It may help others to know and save time but there are no 1155 mobos amongst this lot (unless I missed something).

The disadvantage of this is you don't know if the cashback has been claimed.
You buy card from Amazon to get receipt and serial number off the card and then claim cashback and return the card to Amazon.

I am about to get the Z270F board from Ebuyer , So if i am right i cannot actually get the money until April 9th ?
And i must buy the board before the 31st of March ?

Going to pair it with the I7 6700k CPU

They do confirm with the retailer if the card was returned or not - that's why you have to wait 30 days (past returns deadline)
And you won't be able to claim if it has already been claimed
It's a risk - but a small one imo

Buy before mar 31
Claim 30 days after purchase (ie after the returns period to make sure you haven't returned it)
Get the money soon after
I got cash back from Asus last year on a z170 board and it was quick

No prob

If you bought it recently, take it back and build a proper computer, no cash back on AMD though

No need for fanboy BS.

fanboyism has no place on hukd
a deal's a deal - that's why we're here
my next build will probably be ryzen 2 next year fyi... unless intel steps it up with z370 / i7-8xxx and also thunderbolt 3 is integrated into itx boards

You're going to have to look for server or workstation class motherboards. Try finding an HP Z420 which can be upgraded, like this one just by way of example
ebay.co.uk/itm…393?hash=item465e28c6f1:g:PhAAAOSwB-1YrEK3

Z270F for £165 at scan. £130 after cashback.
Z270-K Prime is £118 at ebuyer. So £98 for a Z270 board? Tough to beat.

That's pretty sweet. Pair them with a 7600K, overclock it to 4.8ghz and you're golden for gaming.

Thanks I bought a dell t1600 pc for £130 going to swap the board into a phanteks pro m acrylic case but would have liked to have 6 sata ports and on board usb 3 so want another motherboard it's not the end of the world though

Aggressive discounting an attempt to hold off the threat of AMDs Ryzen? Worth a look into if you're considering upgrading. New AMDs are currently roughly half the price of Intels closest competitor.

Excellent, I ordered a custom build from CCL Online earlier today, PRIME Z270-A mobo. That's £25 to claim.

Maybe, but it's more likely just Asus extending their rebate program. Asus (like most other computer hardware manufacturers) run near constant rebate promotions in the USA for all sorts of their hardware.

In North America tonnes of stuff is marketed at a price including the discount of mail in rebates. Several reasons. You can hide price rises easier, hook dummies into paying the full price in store and banking on them failing to claim later or being ineligible. If they do successfully claim, they usually have to dump loads of personal data on the forms which is valuable to the manufacturer.

It's uncommon over here. Greater regulation in all areas of the above. Data protection, misleading advertising etc

Nah Asus does this every March

don't think there are any more second hand GPU's (or at least any of the ones where you get £50 off)

Anyone any recommendation for a motherboard to upgrade my ageing 2500k? Looking to go 6700k, already have a 1070, mostly for gaming and light app work. Don't want to go nuts money wise, just something that can overclock and provide reasonable functionality to last for a while....

You could get a cheap Z170 board but 6700K will run fine on any Z270 here too.

Let's say you went with the 270K and a 1070, what would be the cheapest cpu that wouldn't be a bottleneck?

Also: where's the mention of Nvidia cards cashback? Oh wait seen it now. Is it just STRIX cards?

I would aim for a 6600K or 7600K because overclocking. There is no reason you wouldn't overclock these chips if you have a nice card like a GTX1070. They would be a pretty balanced system.

You can actually get a 7600K from CEX for like £200. It might be used but as the processor is just a few months old it won't be used very much (it only came out in January!) and they give you a warranty. That's a good way to save a bit potentially.

New pentium 4k something with hyper-threading will do. Just play at 2.5k resolution and you will have no bottleneck most of the time. There is a game or two that require a faster CPU example BF1

As a thought, does anyone have an 1155 mobo for sale please? Here seems like a good place to ask.

Thanks.

How do I claim this? I see no form or anything?

Did you find out?

One of these Asus boards or this MSI board?

To be honest I don't know how Z270 boards vary at all
