Becoming harder to find at a reasonable price.

In stock at Asus but likely not for long.

Not compatible with the new Nexus 7 as far as I know!

Vaguely interesting, but i only paid 4 times that for the tablet itself....

Carphone Warehouse are still selling new nexus 7s for £99. Add Macronos and you have a great display and controller for a Sonos system. The pogo charging is so much more convenient - just drop in and lift out.

Is this ok for Asus phonepad

Asus, terrible company to deal with, horrendous customer service.

for what it's worth, these are really good quality stands. very heavy and robust, and charges it very quickly with a decent power supply... very glad I bought one.

You mean I can get an expensive charger in the shape of a box which takes up more room?
Totes bargain!

Its actually more pentahedron than box....

I have one of these and personally find it really convenient and well worth the money.

I'm put off upgrading to the Nexus 7 2013 because it doesnt have a similar dock available.

Thankyou soo much, the charging point on mine broke so been looking for one of these at a reasonable price for ages so i can charge using the pogo pins

I agree with others good unit and well worth the money ,now about a third cheaper than when I purchased mine .

Anyone know if this will fit the ASUS Fonepad?

I don't think it will - its designed for the original Nexus 7.

I got one the last time it was on sale and there rely good quality and i got next day delivery to. If you've got a Nexus 7 2012 and want to hook it up to your speaker system id highly recommend it.
It's just a shame they didn't do one with HDMI Out

Just ordered, thanks.

Same reason I haven't upgraded to the new Nexus 7. I had this dock brought over from Japan for me when they were first released. Supplies were limited and there was a debate about how long these would be produced for. I'm tempted to get a second; one for the bedroom, and one for the lounge.

Thanx ordered one great price x

These don't come with the wire/plug though do they? Was tempted to get this, but seeing as we need a lead already I'm not sure it's worth it right now.

So glad I bought one of these when they were on offer a few months back.
My tablet was almost always at about 30-60% charge (partly because I use it loads, partly because the micro-USB port was a little loose). Since I bought the stand it's never been below about 60%, and is usually 90%-100%. You quickly get into the habit of docking the device every time you put it down, even if you just put it down for a few minutes, and it seems to charge more quickly via the side pin connectors than it did through the micro-USB connector.
Only possible down-side is having to ditch the tablet's case (it won't fit in the dock if you have a case on it), but I didn't much mind giving that up.

Good price. Heat added.

Paid this price for it previously, works well connected to my yamaha receiver for playing music and tune in radio too

No, you need to supply a USB power cable/adaptor (i.e. the one that came with the Nexus 7 originally!). Whilst it's easy to dismiss this as 'just' a charging dock, I find it so much more convenient. I had intended to use the 3.5mm output into my hifi, but I recently picked up a Chromecast (Great device!). The Nexus 7 now has a 'house' profile, based on my user, which allows access only to Netflix and Google Play Music. This means that the kids, or visitors, can pick up the N7 and control the music/movies. The dock just makes that much more convenient. I'm seriously considering a second dock for use in the kitchen, as I often follow recipes from the tablet, and it holds it at a very convenient angle

Does the Nexus sit in the dock in landscape or portait ?

Would love to get one, but having real problems getting through to the Asus system. Weight of demand..?

I'd love the dock, it would be much easier definitely. We bought 2 tablets, and only have 1 lead that came with them left as 1 broke. So we need another lead, and to buy a lead plus this is possibly pushing the finances before the first post-Xmas pay day lol.
Does this charge a lot faster than the lead, do you know please? As it may be worth getting one if it does and having the 2 tablets share it.

There has not been any in stock!

Fixed now, ordered. I usually keep my Nexus by my bedside - think I might use this to turn it into a radio and alarm clock at night and replace the Logitech radio I have now...

I think the 'pogo' connectors (which are what's used to charge via the dock, rather than the tablet's USB connector) are supposed to charge faster. To be honest, I've not noticed - but because I have a dock, every time I put it down, I tend to drop it into the doc - there's no 'click' or anything, you literally drop it in, and lift it back out. That means since getting the dock, the battery is pretty much constantly topped up. Every now and again, I intentionally leave it off for a few days as I'm worried about memory effect on the batteries, but it seems fine...

Ordered, cheers OP - I got the £99 Nexus 7 deal last week to this is perfect.

cannot register on site - appears to be kaput for people who do not have an account - i.e. wont let your create one and you cannot order without creating one - keeps crashing with server issues

EDIT - back working now - after being down from 11:30 until 15:00 -just tried again and got through

The Nexus 7 2012 - since the recent update to KitKat 4.4, has anyone had any issues? I only got the N7 at Christmas and it updated to 4.4 almost immediately, and when I try to use Virgin Anywhere, it says it needs Adobe Flash 11... on Jellybean, there seemed to be ways round this, but read that this won't work with 4.4 on the N7 (even though it is listed as a supported device on the Virgin Anywhere site!)...

Just wondered if any of you had any similar issues, or solutions - otherwise, the tablet has been very good so far and seriously looking at this dock...

Nice, ta

Should help me get some more use out of my Nexus 7. Cheers for the heads up.

Seems like your paying a lot just to angle a tablet while its charge. Give me 20 quid and I'll gladly hold it at an angle for you while its plugged in.

Virgin anywhere isn't compatible with KitKat, its compatible with the tablet but only prior to the update. you will probably need to wait for Virgin to update the apos comparability.

Fat fingers and auto correct don't mix. I can't spell contrary to the evidence above.
