This is a good price for the 32GB

Hope retailer gets 3G version soon. Only sub 190 at currys if you buy a case and cheapest case is around £10 making it £189 in total

£199 at PC World. Currently 5% Quidco on tablets (until Sunday), making it potentially £189.05 - and it's in stock, no waiting nearly 2 weeks to get it.

Cheapest case I can find at PC World is £24.99. Where is a £10 one?

Of course I well know, that's why I used the word "potentially" - i.e. not guaranteed... X)

You've actually just made your deal worse by pointing out the potential Maplin cashback - it could be £185.99 with 7% cashback if you don't use the voucher...

Most certainly weren't trying to buy a 2nd hand Nexus off a stranger to save just £15...

Neobrown, the n00b would have been the dude who bought it.

The Tesco offer of £189 is for the 16Gb Nexus not the 32Gb

True, but there is a £10 off code for the £199 32GB price if you're a new customer, and 4.5% quidco until the end of the weekend. So could be as little as £180.50. I was planning to hang around until after Christmas and see if an even better deal comes along, but that was on the basis I'd have shelled out nearly £300 on an N4 last week, which I'm sure you wont be surprised to hear hasnt happened, so I'm now tempted by this!

As I use my tablet mainly for media use and net then not a massive need for a quad core for me. I'm hoping for some custom roms on the nook HD as the 1440x900 screen is a big pull for me and it also takes microSD.

Best buy I've made in a long time, though I went through John Lewis for their guarantee.

what does the john lewis guarantee offer? is it any good?

I could have sworn the 32GB was £189 in Tesco last night. I was looking at it thinking the Mrs could have saved a tenner as she bought me one for my birthday last week.
I am 99% certain it was as it was new stock (my local Tesco doesn't carry a lot of electronics stuff - they had a shelf with various Kindles, this Nexus 7 and some accessories on the end of the aisle)

I soooo want one of these. Turning a page in an ebook is suprisingly satisfying. Much better than the kindle fire.

Dammit. Just confirmed my order with HMV for £194.99 (with voucher and before cashback)

At the end of the day the price is always going to come down, it's just a matter of whether or not you're willing to pay the price to be an early(ish) adopter.

This deal is for online purchases so it may have moved to the store too?

2 year guarantee. I returned a hp laptop that had a cracked screen through accidental damage and they repaired it for me. Obviously this mightn't work in every instance and technically the guarantee was void but excellent customer service secured my custom for the nexus.

Only £170 for new customers from very.co.uk

i just ordered one from very for 179.99 with a £20 off code
