Just seen this on Ebuyer's weekend deals, so not long left unfortunately. Cheapest I've personally seen this card, been looking at a similar EVGA card for £145 on Amazon. Good for 1080p gaming.

I've just ordered with collect plus, so hopefully will get to pick this up tomorrow.

And put a 970 in my media centre? Don't be a Muppet.

Yeah I guess. Prices are inflated. Cheapest one I could find..

I’ve got it in my Alienware laptop (got it on a deal before anyone sighs) and it’s dead quiet. Plays pretty much anything quite well with the limited gaming time I get nowadays.

It needs a six pin pcie cable from your psu.
Thought the older cards would of come down a bit more by now? Picked up an rx480 4gig about 6 months ago for £150 delivered with doom but think they're more expensive now?

That's a pity, I'm looking for a 1050ti that doesn't need external power.

Depends on the titles, and how many fps you want. 60fps you'll be looking at medium to high for most recent games.
Esports games like Overwatch, Dota and others will play on max settings at 1080p. Others like GTA or battlefield would probably drop below 60fps.

When you say drop below 60fps will it still be decent quality?

Hugely depends on the game. Some games you'll be lucky to hit 30fps 1080p on high others will easily do 60fps.

Check out this review for an idea.

To expand on why they're so expensive, along with many other cards. There has been a sudden surge in mining cryptocurrency, which uses graphics cards. The recent RX 480 and 580 series proved to be very good for it, so stocks were quickly drained by miners and used cards jumped in price from demand. As such, Nvidia cards were also running out of stock and increasing in price, since the AMD cards were so hard to find.

Would a 970 be suitable to upgrade a machine with a low wattage PSU?
Will it fit in a snug full height mATX case?
Can you buy a used 970 with a 100% guarantee it hasn't been abused?
Do you realise that not everyone plays games on 1080P ultra settings?

Didn't know that, it's a shane
I've just ordered, thanks
1050 Tis are due a small $10-$20 bump in price next week. Nvidia GPU set, IIRC Palit and Asus cards are already up so expect it to filter through to etailers over the next week or two as new stock lands.

If you are going to buy a 1050 Ti in the very near future now is the time to commit.
I have just built my first basic pc since 15 years ago, I got a g4560 which has integrated 610 graphics, can anyone recommend a graphics card, maybe this one? All I need it for is 1080 video and maybe a game or two. Do I actually need one, as I've heard the 610 is ok for what I need?

This is a good card for 1080p gaming without spending too much. If you're planning on playing older games it may be a bit overkill. An AMD RX 560 may be better for you.

This'll do, otherwise if you spot a £50 750ti on eBay that'll do the job for the odd game, it's what I'm using now in my media centre.
Thanks guys
Wanted to buy air cans for sometime now. With 1050 delivery is now free of charge. Great spot op

Graphics is all about money. If you could afford £100 more the RX580 Saphire Pulse is currently circa £220 on Amazon. However 1050ti requires no power connector where the RX580 requires 8 and 6 pin. The RX580 would require a 500-600 watt power supply. It's also a much bigger card (RX580 is currently out of stock.) Albeit £220 is barely above the long term normal price for this card.

It's better to look at what games you plan to play. Then google reviews for 1050ti and ask if the frame rates that it shows for 1080p are acceptable to you. Remember you will be using this card for many years. Even on a RD5670 that will play videos on the web quite easily and the 1050TI is a much better card than my old graphics card.

Pends how basic your system is. The jump from a 1050ti-1060 can be over 50% or more pending on the game. RX580 is equivalent to a 1060 card. Personally I ordered RX580. Yes uses a lot more power than a 1050ti but would handle games like Ashes of Singularity, Civ 6. I also opted for a decent 650w gold rated power supply and a decent large case.

It would not suprise me if graphics card prices went up short term with mining craze and lack of supply,

All that being said this is a good price for this card. Not many sites appear to be selling this exact same model.
The current pricing of GPUs are what they are, no changing that. If you are after a gtx 1050ti at the moment, this one at this price is undoubtedly the one to go for so long as your psu supports pcie connectors. It has a good few premium features over cards which currently cost £15-£25 more. Great deal.

Great deal if you are on a budget if you cannot stretch to the cheap RX580 deal.

"numpty" was just a part of an insult made up (in my humble opinion) for the insulting person to gratify self indulging supremacy need.
Usually a behaviour of teenager mind or a person with (most of the time) hidden insecurities.
If there will be a retaliation to my deucated guess with some profanities, insults or deminishing description of my person- I'll rest my case.

Memory prices are rising too, which will effect GPU's
