This is the final part I need for my Ryzen build, is it worth it or wait for 1070ti ?

Won't be doing hardcore gaming but want something that can play pretty much any game at 1080p.

I ordered that MSI card for £311 and haven't received, doubt I ever will, maybe get Amazon to price match?

Amazon won't price match, ever.
This is the cheapest it's been minus a few specials. I don't think the 1070 TI will be £400 at retail as rumoured but if it is, it makes no sense to get a normal 1070 at this price.

A big dilemma.

True in 99% of situations but sometimes if you have an existing order for an extremely similar product like this they will. Of course depends a lot on who you get on the chat/phone but I managed to get them to do it for an SSD that got cancelled but very hit and miss.

As to the GTX1070, I think it is obviously a good card but also a very hard card to recommend in it's current price point, though this deal isn't bad, once you are getting up close to £400 for a 1070 you might as well just go for the GTX 1080 for significantly more performance for not that much more price.
I would go for 1070ti probably more value for money if not in a hurry... Otherwise 1080 if you can get one in your budget.

Well, they specifically state, they don't price match, but ok!

Seriously? On desktop version there is even a button to tell them the cheaper price

with normal ddr5 memory on the TI, the miners will be lapping it up

Yup nothing wrong with Palit, they have been at this game a long time, and the jetstream range has always been well recieved.

Ok thanks I found one on Aria PC but after delivery its a few £'s more...think Aria is banned on here ?

May have been banned for self promo, not sure, but I have used them in the past a few times without any issues.
What MSI card?!
The 1070 should play the vast majority of games at 60 fps, ultra settings at 1080p. While the 1070ti will be a better card it will probably cost more as well. If you are in no rush for a new card you may get a 1080 for the same price as I suspect their price will come down.

I currently have a gtx 970 twin frozr and this plays all my game at ultra, 60 fps at 1080p. Not going to upgrade until it stops doing that or I upgrade to 4K.

Ok thanks, though I'm not sure about prices coming down, they still seem a bit high, if I could get a 1080 for £370-380 then I might consider it or if the 1070ti would be £400 but I doubt this will be the case

Maybe a lot of people don't know about it.

Or people are waiting for the 1070ti release before pulling the trigger?

Amazon must've had very few units in stock. I know I'm holding off but probably will get one if a decent card hits ~£300 (wishful thinking, I know :P). Otherwise might as well get a 1070 TI or 1080.

the 1070 will have to get a price cut otherwise its a pointless card in terms on the TI, i think it go to $299, then over here, probs be £299 and blame it on either the dollar or brexit

Price cut. Keep on dreaming.

techradar.com/new…amd

Retail $430 maybe? The £320 conversion to pounds looks wishful thinking and likely does not include VAT at 20%. I suspect over £400 at least.

at £400 would be very close to 1080, which would make the TI pointless to anyone apart from miners wih a 499$ rrp for 1080 and we seeing a few sub 500, extra 50 or so quid extra for 1080 would be a no brainer, also you have to factor in AMD, although losing money on the 56, they will have no option but to cut, and AMD have a history of price cutting.
at worst i can see £350 rrp the TI
Assuming you could buy a 1080 for £400. Cheapest prices at present start circa £471 including postage. Some tech sites are suggesting graphics card prices will rise soon. No point Nvida dropping prices as you can't buy Vega or 570/580 cards. Well least not at their rrp.

Have to wait and see. Could be a month wait to find out. Prices will likely leak sooner.
