I am prepared for the freeze. The Strix is always more expensive but this is a decent deal considering it's been discounted and comes with 2 free games.

Last time this was posted was over at Ebuyer at around £730 with Shadow of War. Now it's cheaper and comes with Destiny 2 and the new Assassin's Creed game. Delivery is £5.48 if you can't pick up from them.

It took much deliberation but I cancelled my £601 Gigabyte GTX 1080 ti order from Amazon France and ordered this instead. Mainly because that was on back order and I might not see it for another month whereas I'll get this card by tomorrow along with 2 freebies.

They're not freebies when you're paying an extra £100 for pretty much the same card though

Either way enjoy it!!!

Shhhhhhhhhhhh - Laalaalalalalalalalalaah - Not listening

I know, they're 'free' for £100+ extra dammit. This is a better card overall than the Gigabyte card so I'm justifying my choice that way. Was never a fan of either Destiny or Assassin's Creed. Might flog the codes on eBay.

Careful with the codes on eBay, pretty common for them to be bought by hacked accounts - if you send them via email/ebay message you end up out of pocket when the whole thing unravels. Send the code written on a bit of paper via snail mail only would be my advice

Thanks! I might just keep them to save the hassle.

Anyone know what these cost to manufacture?

Shame you cancelled that one! I got an email from Amazon France saying it's going to be dispatching tomorrow. This is a pretty good deal with the games nonetheless.

Typical, I was expecting it to be delivered between 2nd Nov and 21st Nov as they suggested. That was a stonking deal though.

Anyway, I'm spending more but I suppose I'm getting a bit more for it too.

When did you get the email? Because my order is still pending without any update and I was thinking of canceling and going with this Asus 1080TI FE

Now that the 1080Ti is out, when do you think the 1060 and 1070 will start dropping in price?

When the 1160 and 1170 are announced.

If anyone buys and wants to sell the Assassin's creed code, I would be interested at the right price, feel free to message me, I have a 1080ti, so I can definitely redeem the code.

I had something like this happen me only it was pretty bad.

I sold music production software on eBay which comes on a hard drive and you can transfer your licence over to another person if you want to sell it.

Someone bought it and they had good feedback etc so I sent the hard drive to them and the serial number via message on ebay but they then said the hard drive was damaged and sent it back to me while they used the code and registered the software in their own name

I would personally never sell anything expensive on eBay again it's so corrupt and eBay only listen to a buyer and never a seller.

whats the going rate for one of these destiny 2 codes? £20?

definitely something id be interested in

Just a heads-up for people who buy this card and intend to sell the games on Ebay later: DO NOT SEND THE CODES TO THE PERSON WHO WINS THE AUCTION VIA EBAY MESSAGES OR EMAIL. Ebay is flooded with scammers using hacked legit accounts to order digital goods. When the legit account owner inevitably gets their account back and see that their Paypal accounts have tens/hundreds of orders they know nothing about, they'll do a Paypal chargeback, with absolutely zero way you will win.

I sold 2 digital codes on there and this happened to me twice in a row. I've since started printing the codes on paper and only sending them to Paypal verified accounts, with positive feedback, tracked snail-mail only. It's stopped the more opportunistic scammers completely, though even then, if they wanted to do a chargeback, they could.

Volta should be here by March do u think

You'd think delivery would be free... considering you would be spending over £700!

Ha Ha Ha !

In what world is a £720 graphics card a good deal?

This is embarrassing. A few years ago, 980 Ti's, which these cards replace, could be snagged for under £500. Now these are £200+ more expensive. The 1180 Ti, or whatever Nvidia calls it, I fully expect to settle at around £850. By then it will be time to switch to a new hobby, if you haven't done so already with the continuing increases in cost of PC building.

Point taken. I actually kind of agree but it's an enthusiast thing. Personally, I wouldn't spend £3 on a coffee or £1000+ on a phone but each to their own.

Did nobody buy this card when it was £620 when the currys deal was on?

It was too expensive then and even more so now. Pascal has been out for ages and Volta is not to far away. These should be £500-£550. But people happy to pay anything Nvidia asks so they keep increasing prices.

I would rather wait for Volta and get the same performance for nearly half the price.

Blame coin mining. GPUs are more important in the modern world than CPUs

OP or anyone else know when this ends? I might go for this but cant until 25th. Also what about Asus warranty, any experiences?

Well ive been googling since yesterday and it looks to be that asus support and warranty arent up to much so I dont think ill bother with one of their cards (at this price at least)

Beautiful card and love the RGB effects on it. I've been eyeing this card myself but decided to upgrade my CPU instead.

To those that still have the Gigabyte Amazon france pre-order for £600.

I just wanted to make sure it's a decent card as assumed all 1080 Ti cards were reference pcb layout.
That card has a strange layout and there is no water block available that will cover the RAM/VRM section of the card.

A Phantek block exists that works but it's not ideal and isn't specifically designed for that layout.

Cancelling mine now.

Anyone selling copy

Have to uave 1080 or above for it to work. Have 2 x destiny 2 for 35 each if anyones bothered? Transfer or friends and family only
