If it's something that concerns you then just go for B550. Personally I will have moved on from X570 well before my chipset fans life is up so it doesn't concern me at all.

Watching b550 vrm's test on Hardware Unboxed looks like its a better chipset then x570 for less money.Interesting.

Yea, all the VRMs on X570 are overkill anyway except from a few cheaper MSI models. I'm running the Asus ROG Strix-E X570 with the 6+2-phase VRM running in parallel. It's complete overkill for any Ryzen current or future. But personally I had to get X570 over B550 because I require the extra PCIe Gen 4 and definitely the extra USB support.

I'm still leaning towards x570 because of the extra bandwidth over b550, its pcie 4 all over vs a mix of gen 3 & gen 4 .
I use oculus rift which needs lots of usb bandwidth

I'd definitely be going with X570 then.
have a check if the older deal is still on with the cpu combo, was better value.... ill have to check whats about.
