I think that it should be "6 Cell" not "6 Volt"

Good spot anyway

Just to mention that I understand that this is the same model as the 1001PX. I don't know why this is sold as a R101.
As mentioned, there are only 2 USB's (the 1001P has 3) but I have also seen this on a more expensive new ASUS - cost cutting going on! HP/Compaq also seem to be going for shared mike/earphone sockets.
The USB's are on opposite sides, so might be a bit awkward attaching an external DVD drive which needs to be connected to 2 USB's. Might need a cheap USB 2.0 hub.

Or use NBOOKS10 at the PC World checkout to get another £10 off.

I am seriously thinking of getting this. Been looking for a while as wanted XP and 6cell for less than £200.

Anyone know how good a deal this is?

no 'N' no Windows 7, one less USB, smaller HDD, how is this better than the other ASUS? I'm all confused now.

Sorry to sound thick, whats 'N'? And is it important?

I think the other is only 3 cell.

N wireless network protocol, looking to pick one of these up for the wife. She wont need long battery life so if that is the only added bonus to this one I might get the Seashell one instead for the 'N' and bigger HDD.

Unless someone knows better?

I have just realised that this has the better processor, ordered in white for the wife.

Scrap that got the purple one.

I think you can get £10 off the price at Curry's if you add the code "10POUND"
