Temporarily out of stock, but well worth taking a punt on it coming back in at this price. Normally a pretty good hit rate with these, but who knows.

Cheapest I've seen by a long way.

Ordered one, Hoping they come back in stock soon.
thanks man
not a bad price given the situation
Great price given the situation.

Is this "Expedition" the new AMD gamer branding for ASUS after the impact of the Geforce Partner Programme kicking in? I've not heard of it before.
Lets give it a shot, hopefully its here before the end of the month cheers op!

It's more of a budget way of them selling a lot of the dearer made bits, in a value way, most of the expedition range were rather popular with the coal boys & girls, as they come with 3 less i/o connections to make them cheaper, they use the same iSOC, pipes & fans as the dearer ones, but are less to buy (( were less to buy! )) overall.

Do not think they took off for gamers as much as amd had hoped when they launched them, no idea why, as they are fab cards that whirl away with no issues, the lack of i/o monitor hook ups maybe

This is a very on point price, but like the 8gb german 1080's last month, not sure how long they will take in total to arrive for buyers.

nor had I but apparently it's a whole range built for "non-stop action", so durability.
Launched last Feb. on both green and red.

I guess the miners got to these before they made it to the shelves so no-one has heard of them :P

Cool, no fluff & comprehensive video with benchmarks worth watching

Who the hell is gonna pay 60 quid for expert Installation.

Might be worth it if you buy six of them 😜
good price considering GPU prices suck lately, on the other hand, had the whole mining craze not exploded I bet 8GB 580s would be this price by now...
Would this perform better than a 1060 3gb?

About the same as the 1060 3gb. So get whichever is cheaper essentially.
From the spec;

Graphics Card Ram Size - 4 MB

I hope this is wrong
Thanks , would the 570 handle 4k at a reasonable frame rate?

No, at least not with the latest AAA games. Indie titles and big games from a few years ago quite possibly but even then you might be talking closer to 30fps or settings turned down.

Not sure what AMD part would be a good bet for 4K TBH, a RX480 or 580 would certainly do much better, especially with 8GB VRAM but to really handle the latest AAA games with high details and good frame rates you would probably need Vega 56 or 64, which is getting into stupid money...

Probably more cost effective on the Nvidia side with a GTX1080 or even a 1070 with some compromises. I actually play some games in 4K on my GTX1060 6GB just fine but I don't tend to play the very latest stuff, if I asked it to run say AC Origins at 4K high I am pretty sure it would choke...

Glad someone posted it. I ordered mine last week at this price but was reluctant to post it here myself as I was quite vocal along with other HUKDers about GPU posts when not in stock with no ETA. Also we could be waiting ages...

Anyway have some heat for taking the time to post.
DO you think a 1060 6gb will come down to anywhere near this in the near future? 1060 6gb worth that much more?

No? I’m in the same boat as the rest of you.

I think it will in a few months, as I;m hoping for that. THey are better though on benchmarks
Thanks, Heat. Good thing is...if you find a better GPU, you can just cancel the order from Amazon since it's out of stock with now ETA.

I ordered this. All the prices are too crazy at the moment. Thankfully I had the sense to buy 2x8gb RAM before the price hike. I been looking at GPU for the last few months. I had my eye on 1060gb 6GB but no way I'm I paying over £280+ and the 3gb is around £220+. But, even though it is out of stock, I am glad I got this. I now only have the CPU and Mobo left. Ryzen 2 hits next week so hopefully I can pick up it cheaper next week. I am so excited. I built my first PC in December 2012, it's been 5 years, I only upgrade the PSU to a modular, added more SSD, brought 16gb ram and now the GPU. Only 2 components left.

You considered buying the GTX 1060 FE from Nvidia they had it for £276, bought mine last month. Not sure if the price has increased worth considering i foyu don't mind the reference blower style coolers

I didn't want to spend so much on the GPU, per-mining, probably could of got 1070 for that price. While I prefer PC gaming but could not justify spending that amount of money for one component alone especially since I am not a heavy gamer. I still need to buy CPU and MOBO, also a cooler as well. I have the Hyper 212 EVO which still works great but I don't know if I would be able to use that on the current gen CPU.

Good thing is, if there is another better deal, I can still cancel the order.
