Thats a crazy price! Although not sure how that ryzen performs
Crazy price, should we wait for black friday or just bite it now?
I really like the design of these Asus gaming machines. Other gaming machines just look too bulky and have strange designs.

An example would be the Asus TUF range which was probably the ugliest, most plastic-y thing out there. The Alienwares and HP Omen’s look nice but are not cheap.

It’s alright but I think everyone is waiting for 7nm a Ryzen mobile really now.

I'm definitely hanging on for AMD to bring 'proper' 7nm Zen/Navi to laptops. They've done desktop & consoles now so it can't be long until they make their push.

From what I read and understand, Ryzen mobile is good but still has annoying bugs and niggles that mean you’re better off buying Intel for your gaming laptops for now. What it did do was enable far better value gaming laptops and ultrabooks/low-end laptops to have usable integrated graphics. Given there’s a shortage of desktop chips, am not counting on mobile 7nm any time soon.

Apparently MS is going to use Ryzen for at least some of surface laptop 3 range to have a lower priced entry model.

I'd be up for that as it's the sort of machine that could do with a bit of gaming prowess - but I'll only buy it if they don't put that stupid alcantara bacteria and grime magnet on the palmrest...
Very tempted, what a returns like with very? Just incase it doesnt live up to expectations. Never used them before.
What's the laptop like, performance wise etc? Good buy or hang on?

Very nice looking system
Good specs for the price but make sure that you will be happy with a screen that does not get very bright and has muted colours before buying.
code PEHFM gives you the 12 months pay later option, but I already had that. The price is still showing £949.99 + £3.99 delivery. Not sure where the £759.99 is coming from.

Right you are - I was looking at the basket figure. I haven't bought from very in the past, so I haven't seen this method of discounting before.
Wow what is there not to get? You buy the item for £949 on a buy now pay later for 12 months, you have paid nothing at this point, by the 14th of November very will refund 20% to your account, Bingo all you then have to pay is £759 and you still have 10 months to pay it off interest free.
One of my friends has just said to me that It'd be better looking for an Intel equivalent, but surely that would be more expensive?
I've no idea about of that's correct, but I'm very tempted to buy this one :/

Why would that be because its Intel lol, This AMD Ryzen 7 is on par with the Intel i5 but will run cooler and uses less power giving better battery life win win
At the end of the day you are not going to find another laptop with these specs at this price, The only drawback with this model is the slightly dim screen and muted colours.

Thanks very much.
Would you say this is a good price then?
I know its probably a daft question, but I'm a tad behind on the up to date tech.

Yes at £759 it's a good buy if you are happy with the screen? Take a look at some reviews online which should help you make a decision if it's for you? Me personally I prefer a better screen but that comes at a much higher price.

That's not how it works. The price of the item will be added to your Very account and then 20% will be credited back to your account balance, reducing what you owe (and so essentially reducing the price of the item). It's not store credit to be spent on other items.
Agreed, I mentioned as another thread on a similar laptop was stating from some that it couldnt be used on the balance but this doesnt seem to be the case

does the 20% come back as credit or money to withdraw to bank account

Comes back as a credit on the account reducing the amount you owe.
