Great price. Well worth the extra couple hundred over the previous 1060 deals! Nice find.
Won't this have a German keyboard layout though?

If you touch type then you won't care. If you don't then you won't know the difference
Very good deal for a 1070 with 512GB SSD, but you will need another 8 GB of RAM. The Amazon reviews aren't particularly brilliant to be honest. Even in though I don't speak German, the star ratings and headlines give the distinct impression that there are issues with this machine.

Assuming you have already re-mapped the keyboard then yes, but you could also end up damaging the keyboard.

You are correct. According to the feedback, there are issues with the power supply, it's too weak. Fan noise is another issue due to the German keyboard design. According to user feedback this fault does not occur with an US/UK keyboard.

This is an absolute treat if you don't mind the keyboard. Specs for the price are well worth it, a MAC with an SSD and i5 would cost about the same
I've had the GL502VM-FY410T version of this for 4 months now. It's the same machine as this one except for a 1060 3gb, 128gb ssd being minuses and 12gb ram being the plus on my one. Paid £900 for it from AO.com, which included £100 cashback so was a great deal. Here#'s what you need to know..........

THE POSITIVES.......

The GTX 1060 3gb card runs more or less everything (Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1 etc) on ultra settings in FHD at over 100 fps, never dropping below 60fps. Absolutely no lag or stutter, everything runs buttery smooth. Obviously, the GTX 1070 is a better card so will run everything flawlessly, no doubt. Some sellers state 120hz but they've got it wrong, it's a 60hz screen. Still a fantastic IPS panel though and G-Sync technology really enhances the gaming experience as it prevents screen tearing for seamless graphics. If you turn G-Sync off, you really notice the difference and appreciate what it offers. If you restart the laptop, it takes literally about 20 seconds to boot up and you're ready to go with everything fully loaded within 40 seconds. I can't tell you how pleased I am with this as my 10 year old desktop that it replaced used to take about 5 minutes. Build quality is also solid and you'll know you have a decent machine.

The NEGATIVES..........

The fans are on more or less constantly so that points to a possible overheating problem. Whilst this may possibly affect the longevity of some components, it doesn't really bother me too much as they're not too loud and fortunately, performance is not affected in any way so no need to worry about cpu throttling as there isn't any in relation to the fans always being on. Perhaps a laptop cooling pad might help the situation but I haven't got round to using one as, like I said, the fans are quite bearable so I'm in no rush to buy one.

The battery life is abysmal..... around 3 hours and don't even think about gaming without the power cable plugged in as CPU throttling kicks in to save power, meaning your gaming frames per second will drop from 100+ to around 30 with lots of lag and stutter. As I'm replacing a deskptop pc, mine never leaves the house and is always plugged in so I don't have this problem but if you're going to be away from a power outlet for any length of time then this is definitely going to be an issue for you.

Only a minor gripe but the external chassis is a real fingerprint magnet..... marks easily and they cannot be removed with a simple cleaning cloth on it's own.

WHO SHOULD BUY THIS........ Anyone who wants a fantastic value for money gaming laptop to play triple A titles such as Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1 etc on ultra settings on a gorgeous FHD screen at 100+ fps with zero lag or stutter AND will have the charger plugged in at all times.

WHO SHOULDN'T BUY THIS........ Anyone who is regularly going to be away from a power outlet for any more than 2 hours at a time.

It’s 60ghz so limited to 60fps.

Don't buy anything from ASUS. If you do hope nothing goes wrong.
Just use the app AutoHotkeys to remap the Z Y buttons
