Great deal, voted hot. A GTX 1070 is a bit overkill for a 60Hz, 1080p screen, though. Personally, I would consider manually upgrading to a 120Hz panel, but you'd lose the G-Sync (which is probably not an issue when gaming at 120fps).

I've got a 1070 laptop with a 60hz screen, and I already find playing Wolfenstein on it that it's not quite as smooth and buttery as on my desktop, so this definitely isn't overkill. Especially when you factor in that it'll probably be being used for the next few years too and that laptops are almost impossible to upgrade.

Very good price by the way.

I'm on the lookout for a gtx1070 laptop or better. Should I bite or wait for tomorrow?

I don't think either ROG or MSI will have a i7, GTX 1070 8GB for less than the 10% off AO price of today.

If you're happy to get a Medion then maybe you can pick one up tomorrow, but there won't be much in it price-wise so you'd be better off paying a tiny bit more for the build quality of ROG

Personally, I think this one on Amazon is a better deal as for £50 extra you get a 120hz screen - MSI GE72MVR 17.3" FHD Gaming Laptop (Core i7-7700HQ, 16GB RAM, 1TB HDD, 256GB SSD, GTX 1070 Graphics, Windows 10 Home) 7RG Apache Pro 064UK - Black

I'd wait what's a few hours going to do, all this stuff will be cheaper in January anyway.

Haha I did not see these suggestions and I ended up buying it. But I can always return if something better comes up.

While this is true, it does provide longevity to the laptop. 1070 may be overkill now, but 3-4 years down the road and it will still be able to play new games at very good settings. But still, I'd rather build 2 gaming PC's that can run more powerful than this laptop because I love building especially on a budget haha

It’s not the 16gb version , at least the spec on the website says 8gb ram
