UNCOVER GAMING SUPREMACY

Just one look is all it takes for you to realize that ROG Huracan is unlike any other gaming desktop. Its aggressively-styled chassis has an asymmetric design, and there’s a folding magnetic side cover that, when opened, improves airflow into the system and enables a CPU and GPU performance boost. The extra airflow provides the cooling needed to unleash the full fury of its 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics for extraordinary gaming experiences — so you can play the latest games at their most extreme settings.

A BATTLE-HARDENED CYBER-WARRIOR

Huracan is a high-performance, compact 13-liter gaming desktop with cyber-warrior and cyber-punk design elements. It has an aggressive, angular chassis with sharp creases that reflect a battle scars. Huracan has a magnetically-secured cover on its right flank that can be opened to improve heat removal and overall performance.

UPGRADES MADE EASY

To ensure you’re ready for future battles, both side panels slide open to reveal the internal components, giving you easy access when it’s time to upgrade to the latest hardware. Upgrade to more powerful graphics cards, larger capacity storage drives, or simply add more RAM so your gaming rig is always up to date. There’s even a hot-swap 2.5-inch SSD bay that can be taken out and replaced in seconds.

PLAY IT COOL

Huracan features air intakes at the front, top and underside of the chassis. Opening the cover adds to that, allowing the maximum amount of cooling air into the chassis. It increases airflow by 16% and reduces internal temperatures by 15% to help cool critical components. Huracan gives you exactly what you want for gaming — a compact desktop that runs cool and quiet without compromising performance.

UNLEASH ITS TRUE POTENTIAL

A folding magnetic side cover sets Huracan apart from the competition. Opening it up unleashes the true potential of this amazing gaming desktop, with internal sensors triggering a CPU and GPU performance boost of up to 11% and 8% respectively. This intelligent thermal solution results in faster frame rates, and helps you achieve true gaming supremacy. With the side cover open, Huracan is able to run Destiny 2 in 4K UHD at frame rates of up to 82fps — up from 66fps with the cover closed.

SYNCHRONIZED AURA SYNC LIGHTING

Customizable Aura light effects gives you a palette of 16 million colors so you can match the look and feel of Huracan to the game you’re currently playing. Aura Sync technology gives you the freedom to mix and match light effects with Aura Sync-supported gaming mice, headsets, keyboards, monitors, and other peripherals to create a coordinated gaming setup.

AUDIOPHILE-GRADE SOUND

With an incredible 32-bit/384kHz audio capability, the ESS® Sabre DAC and amplifier deliver a sample rate that’s 8x greater than CD quality, for richer and more detailed audio experiences. It provides low frequency sounds at louder volumes, and more detail on the higher end of the audio spectrum. It also offers a greater dynamic range (DNR) for richer and less distorted audio, as well as a higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) to get rid of annoying noise. You’ll have to hear it to believe it!

SOUND THAT PUSHES THE LIMITS

Sonic Studio III provides high-quality in-game audio as well as enhanced streaming and audio recording for perfect voice pickup and noise reduction. It’s able to simulate a 7.1-channel surround audio signal to create an immersive and accurate 3D audio experience on a pair of regular headphones.

EXTENSIVE CONNECTIVITY

Huracan has a total of nine USB ports, including one USB Type-C (USB-C) and eight Type-A ports, to connect all your gaming accessories and VR headset. The very latest Intel Ethernet Connection I219-V controller provides high-performance gigabit network connectivity. It significantly reduces the CPU’s workload, while providing exceptionally high TCP and UDP throughput. In short, you’ve more processing power left for gaming. The Integrated Connectivity (CNVi) architecture with Intel Wireless-AC 9560 provides super-fast and stable 2x2 802.11ac Wi-Fi. You’ll experience smoother online gaming and video streaming thanks to a stronger signal delivery and up to 6x the speed of 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. Built-in Bluetooth 5.0 conveniently pairs Huracan to any Bluetooth device for a complete gaming experience.

MULTI-MONITOR GAMING

With two HDMI, two DisplayPort, and one DVI output, Huracan lets you play on up to three displays for a tactical edge on the battlefield. Multi-monitor support means you can use your accessory display to show chat boxes or in-game maps. You can even use it to catch up on live-streams, TV shows or movies, or surf the web.

BE IN TOTAL CONTROL

Aegis III is a system performance-monitoring app that allows you to track current fan speeds, CPU and memory usage, as well as download and upload status. You can choose to set fan speeds manually, or select pre-set fan modes to suit the situation at hand, with an automatic warning if the system exceeds temperature or voltage thresholds. You can also control lighting effects, and access Sonic Studio III, Sonic Radar III, and XSplit Gamecaster via Aegis III.

Great deal! Even with a quick search for the average component price it can’t be matched!

Main 4 components:
£184 ASUS Z370 ROG ATX M/B
£339 i7-8700 Processor
£112 DDR4 2400 RAM
£329 GTX 1070
Total: £964

That’s without factoring in SSD, HDD, PSU, Case and Windows 10!

Also it looks like it comes with a DVD drive and mouse and keyboard, which is an added bonus.

16GB RAM

8GB VRAM is the amount of memory the 1070 GPU has
Have some heat.
Good value for the specs. Can't seem to find exactly what the components in it are from a quick search, but very hard to save much money even on pcpartpicker on a self build.

I agree with you this is difficult to match in terms of cost.

Just be mindful though that this is a H370 mainboard not a Z370. So it's not overclockable. Having said that to overclock it you'd then have to swap out the CPU and preferably the ram too. Granted Asus likely haven't made this for the overclocking community

Would you be able to take out the 1070 and replace it with the 2070 / 80?

Looking at the pictures, that GPU looks quite a snug fit, so I assume the larger custom cards wont fit?

Probably not, the one in there is 10.50" x 4.38" and 2 slots wide exactly.

2666mz RAM in a £1,099 machine

On an Intel build for gaming you might see a few fps increase by going 3000mhz or higher. Its not like Ryzen where the difference is material.

Even if it made no difference it's just shocking to see a £1099 machine in late 2018 without 3000mhz , in my opinion.

Don't think its bad at all. I'd much rather take 2666mhz over 3000mhz if it meant they dropped any other component down as a result, remember to run higher speed RAM would also require a more expensive Z370/Z390 board. I haven't priced out the parts but I reckon I would struggle to build a system equal to this for the price.

There was a gaming PC on offer last week (which I took) that had a Ryzen 2600 , Vega 56 , 16GB 3000mz RAM , 2TB HDD and then I also added a 480GB SSD, for £800ish in total.

I could beat this beat in my sleep with brand new parts but it's not meant for people like me, it's meant for people who just want to get on their PC and play.

Great deal but to my point an 8700 & 1070 alone are about £650 - £700. I see ecreative priced out some part and got up to £964

15% better CPU but 10% worse GPU.

Less storage too.

And mine was £300 cheaper.

Wouldn't say it was loads better at all.

2666mz RAM in a £1,099 machine

Going by the reviews I've read, if you go for 3200 over 2666 you get about a 1-2% gain in fps without any overclocking, so to me this having 2666 ram is hardly an issue.

Evening all, I am after a gaming PC to use for the most recent games, Battlefield V, etc. Not bothered about 4K or multi-screen gaming, but will want to use with an Oculus Rift, does anyone have any thoughts please? Much appreciated HUKD friends...

But do keep in mind that I made this in less than 5 minutes with no real deal searching, if I had to match this for a lower price than give me some time as i'm busy right now

Used the keys a few times, nothing wrong so far.

Stock cooler is just fine, even the next cooler up only makes it about 3-5 degrees cooler at load.
