SO, I've been trying everything to get a decent price for this for yonks. ASUS is owned by Laptop Outlet Ltd (or vice versa) and they have their official eBay store.

Currently until 7th Dec you can get 20% certain stores (you guessed it) up to £75 using the code PARTYTIME.

Did i forget to mention through Quidco you can POTENTIALLY get 2.5% cashback as well (if so £560.62 final price).

Also if you pay directly using PayPal you can use leftover Nectar points from the double-up event (since their £100 cap this year was rubbish) so i ended up getting the handset for <£500.

Best price directly from ASUS is £599.99.

...Quidco's eBay cashback raised to 10% today for Premium Members, so worth upgrading for £1

£525 at Gearbest

Thats the TENCENT (Chinese) or ROM version that may be missing UK bands for 4G... this is the official UK version as it is distributed by ASUS through Laptop Outlet Ltd.

Also if you were wanting the above versions they have been posted here <£490 so £525 isnt a deal.

No that's the global version. You can get the tencent version for a little over £400 lol
"ASUS is owned by Laptop Outlet Ltd (or vice versa)."

Did Mr Bullsh Johnson tell you this?

Also, not trying to undermine your deal but IF you have Student Beans you can get 15% off on LaptopsOutlet site (not the ebay shop) Which should bring it down to £509 from £599 (pennies aside). Then possible 1.44% at Quidco.

Heat given for this deal anyway.

Laptop direct is licenced (or owned) by Asus to sell in the UK on behalf of Asus.

The student beans code doesn't work on this phone, which sucks, as that would be an awesome deal.

I knew there was an association but wasn't sure exactly between the companys. What i was trying to emphasize was this wasnt the usual Chinese ROM variant.

Sorry but you are trying to undermine it without evidence: I am aware of the SB but i know from ASUS directly it didnt apply as its selected items only. I dont personally have SB so couldnt check Laptop Outlet (with ASUS i spoke to their representative. Happy for you to prove me you can use it and i can adjust the deal?)

Having a licence to sell a product or service is nowhere near having ownership. Furthermore having a licence is not a prerequisite to being able to sell a product or service. This company is Laptops Outlet not Laptops Direct, I can't see the 2 are related.

Shame about the SB discount, I just went by their terms: "As part of the Laptop Outlet Student Beans discount, eligible students can benefit from up to 15% discount on a selected range of laptops, tablets and other devices, from leading manufacturers including Toshiba, Lenovo, HP, ASUS and Acer"

Sure, I don't doubt your intentions but the association just seems to be a simple seller relationship and suggestion of any such greater could lead potential buyers to have unfounded confidence in the seller. That is no way is a fact or opinion on Laptops Outlet business, I have never dealt with them.
I regret if you feel I have undermined you, if that was my intention I would not have stated that I'd given your deal heat.
As I've stated in another post I just read the terms on Laptops Outlet site, they did not specify in those terms which items may be excluded. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they get out of giving great deals away.
As an aside, any discount given is a decision by the seller (Laptops outlet) unless it is a specific promotion offered by a primary seller/manufacturer to resellers.
