nice....

Very tempted...

Been looking at this range of laptops for a while, although was hoping for a deal on the VS model with a 1070. This is tempting though, not sure whether to wait till Friday and see what shows up.

Too good to pass for me... Bought one.

Haha same here was waiting for Alienware to see what their black friday deals was but this is sooo much laptop for the money i couldn't say no.

Anyone else opt for the Amazon 3 year cover? seems a no brainier for £130 when you have pets that like to knock over glasses.

Dunno about pets but I've knocked over more than a few glasses myself - 'specaily on a friday or saturday night

UPDATE:

Sold out. 1 to 2 months lead time now, same price. Or you can pay £1,434.60 + £5.28 delivery and get it from Scan.

I bought one, it's arriving this morning
sometime. It seems like such a good price compared to anything else I'd seen. I was considering buying a clevo with no OS, hdd, and only 4 gb of ram from pc specialist or scan, but that would have been more expensive than this. And I don't think they had gsync monitors either

Back upto £1349 now

Yeah up to the other price now, so annoyed I missed it.

FYI - I had an Asus person confirm to me that this laptop a) comes with the 128gb SSD and b) the display is an IPS panel GSYNC one (which is a good thing!). I purchased at £1099.

Damn that was a nice price...

mine arrived today... Very nice i have to say :-)

this is now 889.99!!!

It's showing up as 1349!

was a seemingly dodgy 3rd party seller. few people risked it.

 Is it an IPS panel?

Any idea if this price will come back?

I wouldn't count on it. The hp laptop posted this morning looks to be the next best thing for the price

bill said it may come down on cyber Monday.

so sad I missed this, was a crazy deal

Are these Strix branded laptops better than the ROG G751's or vice-verser? The reason I ask is because I've noticed the G751's have much larger exhausts at the back and are twice as heavy. I know these Strix are newer and contain newer components but are they actually better? Is the GTX 1060 better than 2015's GTX 970m?

I think the Strix ones are just below the ROG ones, but there's not a ROG one with a pascal card in it yet. As for the 1060, it's a lot better than the 970m, probably around twice as fast in some games.
