As far as I can tell the amazon page is incorrect listing this monitor as 3840x1440, it is infact 3840x1080 I reported this to amazon awhile ago but it hasn't been corrected, you can also see in the images on the amazon page it shows as being only 1080p.

Top price, the missus has already warned me off of a 49" panel no matter how nice...

Seeing this sort of thing doesn't help, either!

(edit: Just seen that it's 1080p vertical, so the screen snob in me can safely ignore! Good price if the spec suits someone all the same)

It really isn't. Look up the specs, it's listed everywhere that I've checked at 1080p. I'd love to be proven wrong though, might accidentally order one then, missus be damned!

It's 1080.
And only HDR 400 which for a monitor at this price is shocking.
However if you've had your eye on this for a while. Good time to buy

There are better 27" monitors on the market. This one is arguably one of the best, if not the best. True 1ms response time.

Given the Samsung c49rg is a little over £1000, if you're spending this sort of money then I'd find it hard to recommend this.

The Samsung has 5120 x 1440 res, 120hz refresh, and HDR 1000. It's a beast and probably the best "value" gaming/productivity monitor on the market now.
D for Deep or Deer?
I live in a lighthouse, this is just what I've been looking for....
1080p in 2019, nah
