Curious to know why anyone would buy this, when less than 10% more in price gets you roughly 20% more performance. Or you can even pay less for a still superior RX 590.

I mean surely one can stretch £10 for the 1660 in this scenario. The 1060 is over three years old now, and ASUS support is terrible on top of that.

A strix card would be the last thing you'd try to put inside a SFF box, because it probably wouldn't fit.
Just shows how Nvidia`s high pricing methodology has left a fair bit of very old stock in the system. The old gtx1060 when compared to new cards performance wise are worth about £100 at best.

Seen this happen before; customers being stubborn wanting an exact match for their artifacting gpu, it annoys me but it's their money.
Very cold unless you want a 'cheaper' rog card

SFF tend to use low profile cards, not full length. And as most of them are limited in wattage, you'd be looking at the 1050 instead of the 1060
Zotac are the king of small Gpu cards . I wouldnt say most SFF use low profile cards as they just arent available , smaller 2 slot tends to be the choice, but some even go 2080Ti SFF LOL.
Not a Good deal unless .....

That's the point that user was making.

WOOOOSH.
Although i have no desire to buy a prototype 20xx series card, i definately wouldn't touch a 10xx series in 2020, but if i was pushed for a card, ide get a 20xx, or AMD when they sort out the drivers.
Terrible price for a 1060 and therefore should be ice cold but I guess many feel compelled to vote hot when they see the ROG STRIX brand

Just shows you the power of marketing over the uninformed
Techpowerup rate the 1060 6GB as 7-8% slower than a GTX 1650 Super.techpowerup.com/rev…tml

Yes, a card that can be had new for £135 with better efficiency too. There is the 2GB vram difference, but at 1080p high (not ultra settings at this price point), it’s a moot point. Turing features should also be taken into account. So it’s cold from me
