Great for price!

Very tempted to bite is it worth this or waiting on 8th gen

Omg that's a value package for the money but I'm mainly a gamer so waiting on gtx 1060 laptop deals. The jump between 1050/ti and 1060 is quite big, I'd like it to last longer with that 6gb gddr5.

Still. HEAT!

So a diamond

Thank you - have ordered one for my hubby. He's just started to get into 'gaming' so I have no iea what he needs but this looks good and is under £600.

Thinking if any better offers on Black Friday come up I can return if needs be.

You could wait forever.

8th gen mobile processors/AMD Raven Ridge are just around the corner at retail and will likely offer more threads for mid range machines like this when OEMs start integrating them en masse next year. But that is next year and this still a quad core machine (i5-7300HQ).

You won't find many better deals soon.

Damn! Ordered this last night

Brilliant thanks for your help much appreciated

Does this have a ssd ? The listing on the asus website suggests it has

Just received mine today for £650, called them about the 10% off and they were happy to refund me the difference. Brilliant price!!

It might be worth waiting for the laptops to come out that Intel and AMD are teaming up to create chips for.

Interested to know the answer too. I've usually replaced the optical drive with an SSD but this model doesn't seem to have a DVD slot.

I order an m.2 ssd off Amazon 240gb for £69 (warehouse) and plan to put it in as the boot drive.

Sorry, need to go to Specsavers, that makes it a great spec,I had looked at this bundle earlier,

store.hp.com/UKS…+UK
and was seriously looking to buy it,but maybe the ASUS tips the balance

This is a really good price for the spec. You'll not be running anything on max specs but games will play at least!

From what I can tell, this has a slot for an M2 SSD drive too, which is a relatively easy upgrade.

Mine isn't due to arrive until Wednesday so hopefully they haven't taken the money and just deduct the savings 😊

Really struggling to decide on what laptop to get for xmas. Want to use it to do basic stuff like browsing, also to play games such as football manager- kids will also want to use for homework etc- would this sort of laptop be suitable or am I better staying away from gaming. I liked the look of the Asus £499 on AO but not sure what’s best. Happy to spend upto £600 and want a good laptop that can cope with useage

This one's more than enough.

Am I correct that this has an US keyboard?
