“These are Open boxed / Returned units that are professionally refurbished.

Cosmetically they may bear marks / scratches / small dents, that would not hinder functionality. They may be in replacement packaging might have non-original accessories. Non-essential accessories (Manuals) may be missing. They come with 6 months warranty.”

Over £400 on amazon, worth a punt even though they only come with 6 months warranty?

not so great, its refurbed
At least they come with no mining done on the cards, since it has been unprofitable for the past 6 months xD

Problem is 1070s have been around for about 3 years or so it could have been mined to death anytime over that period Personally I would buy a mining card without worry - if the price was right. Provided they were properly cooled they will probably be in better condition than a ex-gaming card as they aren't constantly at 100%.

Back to this deal, it's terrible! The 1070 is an old card now, still a good one mind, but it's age needs to be reflected in the price. I have a 1070 in my PC, it cost me £127 on eBay about 4 months ago, blower cooler, but runs perfect, it was actually £150 but I had a 15% coupon. That was a stellar deal, but even regular pricing should not be over £200 and that is BEFORE any discount code not after...

even with the discount I dont find it to be a good deal with the new 1660 etc around the same price or cheaper for new

I thought the 1070 is faster than the 1660 but not the 1660ti.
Better pay 60 quid more and get a new RTX 2060 if within your budget imo

What are you talking about? RTX is a gimmick and the 1070 isn't that terribly old. The tech is still fantastic and it's stilling running a fantastic price to performance ratio.

You're going to get a 1660 new over this? That would be dumb.

Also, I had a mining rig for 2 years and 3/12 1070's died out. The power was even tweaked to use 70 percent... So I dread to think the life left in the other 9.

If anything, waiting for the next gen graphics is the best bet.
I've had this card (OC vers) for just over 3 yrs now and it's been solid at 1080p/max settings in all my games - i imagine it'll handle 1440p easily but my 4670k would kill me good find OP

The higher the res the less cpu bottleneck. I use a 4930K at 4K and for VR with my RTX 2080 STRIX and no bottleneck at all. 1080p is another story...
Title should state it's not new with cut down warranty.
Poor value considering a new 1660 Ti starts at £12 more.

It is stated. In fact i've stated 6months warranty twice. How many times would you like it on there?

Just once in the actual title is fine.

If you've read this far down the page then you've read the info i posted on the deal. Mods on here edited the title so i'm assuming they are happy with how the deal is laid out.
