    Eero are trash, you can't even change the WIFI channel on an Eero, they are dumbed down Amazon owned devices. Asus thrashes them and I dislike Asus immensely as a company but they make damn fine routers.

    One of the reviews says they added Nord but it reduced the speed from 200 to 29mb, the review is from Oct 2021 however. (edited)

    Good price, I've got 2 of these in a mesh and they work great, tons of options in the settings too if you want to get technical.

    Do you use them using the AI mesh? I have one of these already but it hardly reaches the loft. Wonder if I should get another and run the mesh?

    Still rocking my ac86u. Whilst not wifi6 it's a great router and pushes over 300 mb via WiFi.

    As everyone else says, very good router. Have it paired with an Asus mini mesh just to reach a couple of black spots in the house. This is only due to the electrical interferance of the room I have it in.

    The only (slight) problem was gettiing my Sonos to connect to it. Needed a particular version of the firmware on the router for it to work 100%.

    But as everyone says, rock solid, and being able to use QoS for specific applications and games has made my son very happy. No lag from the Playstation anymore.

    Q) Worth to upgrade router even internet speed 30Mb/s?

    The maximum internet speed on my house is 30 Mb/s, but have been using multiple devices supporting wifi 6. Current BT router slows down others, during downloading steam games on one laptop. Does it gurantee interent speed/connection on all devices?

    If it is 30mb to your house. If your laptop is using 28mb, that only leaves 2mb to all other devices to share out.

    If you wanted 5 devices all having 30mb you would need a 150mb connection to the house.

    The benefit to these external routers is more about coverage and reliability, plus some other in-built features like guest networks, filtering, firewalls, etc.

    I get decent speeds over Wi-fi upstairs while the router is kept in the living room. Highly recommended, has been solid for over a year.

    I have this, incredible router, so many settings and configurations you can tweak to your hearts content!

    Plus it supports a Mesh setup too if you want this..
