Whats the best Card I can realistically expect to get in this range <£250?
Id like to keep a look out.
1080p-1440p. Running a SFF PC NR200. especially if I wait for Sale etc
6600 is readily available for around 250ish and below now. If you are very lucky, a 6600xt may appear around this price but do not hold your breath this side of Xmas.

300ish is 6600xt, 6650xt or 6700 territory. 6700 is your best bet, but the powercolour variant of this card which was the cheapest seems to be oos most places.

You're probably better off with this card given you have a sff pc, this will have lowest TDP and power requirement. This is definitely a 1080p card, 1440p in older/less taxing games.

Good deal, indeed. Sadly, a 3 slot card, and I need 2. Hoping the XT variants hit this price in the coming weeks.
    It’s a 2 slot? It’s tiny

It's 2.5 slot according to the manufacturer.
Not sure what space you get with the half a slot... (edited)
It's 49mm deep. That's a very chunky card. Even for a double fan.

Would this be good in a custom nas build to run plex content 4k hdr etc..
If you're not interested in gaming performance, then you will be far better off getting a budget Nvidia GPU that can make use of CUDA decoding. CUDA barely uses any GPU, and will keep your power usage right down. AMD cards do not have an equivalent to this dedicated chip that Nvidia uses, and are not cards I would recommend if you're just interested in video playback. Unless energy consumption is no concern to you.

An older 2014- Nvidia card will perform better (in terms of power and usage) at playing back 4K HDR video than any AMD card, including the latest, especially if you will be using MPV or MadVR.

For a media PC, I recommend an old 900/1000 series GPU like the 960 or 1050. Due to them barely even kicking in, you'll be looking at very low power consumption. (edited)

This includes the two games too. Ebuyer is a participating store.
    Overclockers do have the sapphire
Pulse for the same price though, but more expensive delivery
