Finally this looks like a reasonable price

Just want 1070s to be reasonably priced too

Yeah, right!

Why do people keep posting these it's gonna go cold the 1060 is 4 quid more and loads better performance

These need to be below £150 at this stage to be worth buying over the new cards.

this is a good deal 970 4gb vs 1060 3gb which will be very limiting very soon

There, corrected that for you. Don't think 0.5GB is going to make difference really and the 3.5GB + 0.5GB nature most likely means there will eventually be driver problems.

Are you kidding the 4gb on the 970 is pointless it's only 3.5gb for a start and any game that fills up 4gb of ram the GPU it's self will struggle to handle the point of more ram on cards than the GPU can handle in textures is for sli purposes. For example I have the Titan x with 12gb of ram but you get a game on high enough settings so it needs even 6gb of ram GTA for example and the GPU can't handle it so it runs like crap the 12gb of ram is so you can sli 2 or even 3 cards and have 12gb of ram to use in sli. Same goes for the cheaper cards so the extra ram of the 970 is completely pointless unless your going to sli the 3gb 1060 will out perform the 970 in every aspect and not to mention spend the extra 40 quid if you bothered about ram and get the 6gb version of the 1060, there needs to be a massive drop in price to make the 9 series even with looking at

It will be more than half the difference between 3GB and 4GB (apologies for stating the obvious!), and given Nvidia's superior memory management, we should see similar mileage between the 970 and the 4GB 480.

I haven't seen or heard that before, very interesting! What are you basing this on? Surely their application of a heuristic algorithm would mean that this is not the case?
