Cracking device. I've got one myself and it runs Grid 2! Shame it's back at John Lewis for a warranty repair.

For some reason the screen decided it was being constantly touched at one point. No visible damage.

Very nice... very nice indeed...(_;)

I want this now

Does anyone know how this compares with th HP Omni 10?

Is the office on it just a year subscription or does it last forever like the old 2010 version?

It's full 2013, no expiry.

Wish I had £300. Could do with a new computer!

starting uni in september could of done with this! hope good deals on in september! ! x

I've had this for about a week now, lovely little tablet/ultrabook. The Office you get with it is serial number, so that's a plus as well. Battery life is amazing (about 9 hours), just read thru the instructions about the first time charging period. Speed/responsiveness is more than adequate for everyday tasks.

I want one. Could sell something to buy it.

from a quick google comparison the Omni is the more powerful baytrail atom, and has a much better screen. lack of keyboard appears to be the only downside to the Omni. hope mine gets dispatched soon

You are 100% correct. The omni 10 is indeed not android.

So the Omni is Windows 8, I stand corrected, or rather sit corrected

This or the surface bundle for £350 with quidco?

Best tablet around and even better at £300.

Win store mite be pants but you have google to find any full program and not some crappy basic cut down mobile app version.

It is a real fingerprint magnet but looks great with a Skinomi skin.

That's interesting. I bought mine from JL and had exactly the same issue. However I unfortunately put mine on charge and the next morning the screen was cracked. John Lewis was having none of it but I insisted that the screen was faulty and that the action of clipping on the keyboard, closing the screen and putting in charger was the only possible reason I woke up to a cracked screen. Eventually I told them to officially call me a liar or refund the product. They refunded it and I promptly purchased the surface pro 2 128gb which is obviously a different price level.

what is this based on? as I have an Omni on order but would consider a change. however I don't see any advantage over the Omni, except the keyboard. which I aint too fussed about.

I've got one too and had this issue when I applied a screen protector. After a couple of days to dry out fully it's back to normal.

Great little device btw, wouldn't swap mine.

The T100 is excellent and there are no problems now ASUS have sorted out the early firmware issues. I got mine for this price from John Lewis at Christmas which at the time included a £25 Microsoft store voucher. I still can't believe I bought a piece of computer hardware which has actually risen in price since I bought it! But that is probably because it is very good.

The keyboard is well worth having as although touch screen input is good, it is always a lot easier and quicker using a keyboard. Also if your watching something, the keyboard supports it without the need to hold it up. I bought it to use as a standalone tablet but use it most of the time with the keyboard attached, using a mixture of keyboard and touch screen as its just easier.

In my opinion of course. For me it just does everything I need it to do - great portable browser/media player, can easily double up as a desktop hooked up to a monitor for basic browsing/word processing etc like this and is great for using AceStream to watch free Sky Sports 1,2,3,4,News & F1

For me the keyboard was a must as it's vital if you want to do a lot of typing, the touchpad helps out when using desktop mode as sometimes things can be fiddly and I also use it a lot just as a stand so you dont have to be holding it all the time.

To be honest I'm not too clued up this side of Christmas as since I've had the T100, I've had no desire to look at anything else so there could be better about now but for me and at £300, it's excellent value for money and is a much better option than any Android or Apple tablet as you get so much more.

All depends on what you're looking for really and what you want from it.

Completely agree with above. I bought mine at Christmas. I use it as a tablet, the keyboard is extremely useful and also hook it up to the TV with HDMI cable to watch netflix, blinkbox and even Sky Go (say no more about that one!).

cool. I will stick with the Omni, as it appears to be the better tablet going by the specs

I was looking at the Dell 10.8" for £430 but currently has avery decent £200 cashback that's fairly flexible. Would that notbe a better deal?

I got rid of my t100 for the surface pro with type 2 keyboard after 2 weeks, its a million times better but only cost £80 more than this. The t100 keyboard is just about bearable - about as good as the original asus eee pc, but the trackpad is awful so if you want to use it as a laptop in bed or on sofa you'd need a mouse defeating the point. The type 2 keyboard best I've used.

If you play with the battery settings on the surface you can make the battery last 6-7 hours. Gaming kills it in around an hour though.

Not a good price. Refurb as new go for £250 or less on eBay and this capacity really should be cheaper by now. Wait for the 64GB or even the 64GB with HDD or import if you don't want to buy new.

That's what I'm getting. The keyboard for it can be had for around the £110 mark on eBay. I didn't even post this Asus as a deal because with various codes it has been £300 from Tesco for a little while now and was £300 or less with cashback and various other incentives like the £25 Windows store voucher and free speakers etc before Christmas.
