Key Features:

Screen size - 11.6 in - 1366 x 768 pixels
Processor - Intel Atom Z3775 - 1.4 GHz
RAM - 2 GB
Hard Drive -500GB TouchscreenOperating System - Windows 8.1
Warranty - 1 year warranty

Seems decent for the price, and the long battery life makes it interesting to me (I need a small, cheap device for my kids to use at school and something capable of running the full version of MS office appeals more than a tablet).

However, only 32GB makes me wonder how useful it is as a tablet. Plenty of space in the 500GB HDD when the keyboard's attached - but why not just buy a small laptop?

I'd be interested to hear from anyone else with experience of a Windows tablet - is 32GB enough?

Depends on how you intend to use it. I have a 32GB laptop hybrid as second windows device. I have my docs synced with the main PC via DropBox and no all music / films on the device. My multimedia is connected through a NAS storage device, so I can even access those on the road so long as there is a WiFi hotspot to utilise. Anything that I must carry media wise I can drop onto a USB stick. Oh and Its also possible to install programs to the SD card - 64GB will set you back £20 if you need one.

In fact I would consider this myself as my 10.1 is slightly too small for me, but the screen resolution puts me off, would ideally like full HD

either do the lottery or continue doing it as you appear to be a lucky person
The problem with Pixmania if things go wrong absolute nightmare worst I have ever come across.
Suggest you google bad service for Pixmania and have a look at the results ....maybe you will not be so confident

expansys also don't have the best reputation - supplying used goods when bought new, european or US goods when supposed to be UK, very tatty heavily used items when bought as "nearly new open box".

Must have been very lucky....not had to deal with their customer service but regardless the item was racieved by my relative in 'new' condition in a sealed box the next day......not dismissing your opinion but not everything in life has to be a drama ....and I feel lucky gonna. Put the lottery on

yeh 2 days ago? was that before I posted this deal do tell? Regardless my relative had the same experience and I saved her 58 quid so all good

Must be stock clearing to make way for the T300 Chi release here. I picked up a T300 Chi on my way out of Abu Dhabi two weeks ago (missing that world of cheap electronics with my move back...but that's another story!). I would recommend holding off and waiting for the Chi to release.

Had Surface RT and Transformer at same time. Both with keyboards. Transformer T100 was just a pain in a bum. Keyboard awful, crammed and hard to attached. Performance wise was same as Surface so Asus didn't get any use. This might be a newer model but keyboard still same crap so for this price range definitely better options out there.

This is the T200 with a larger keyboard and screen than the T100.

I have one of these.
Some major flaws (in my humble opinion):

1. Battery drain - used for a an hour or two from fully charged up, i.e. browsing the internet, switching between tablet and laptop mode. Shut down laptop. Fire it up again and it turns on with battery down to last ten percent or doesn't turn on at all, needs to be plugged in and wait for a few minutes before it actually turns on.

2. Trackpad - shocking. I was updating my CV, typing on the keyboard as I would at work and every two minutes the cursor has jumped somewhere else. Drives me to distraction so disable the trackpad if you're intending on doing a bit of word processing.

3. Trackpad - buggy. If a windows update is waiting the trackpad gets knocked out of commission. It doesn't return until you shut down and restart. The work around for this is to go through a convoluted process of trawling the Asus support pages and figuring out if an update has been released to fix it (known issue with Asus track pads it would seem when I googled it). Another painless workaround is to create and store a .bat file on your desktop which kills and restarts the trackpad process without having to restart shutdown your laptop.

4. 32gb on the tablet will fill up very quickly. Just from installing some of the more popular apps on the windows app store e.g. Netflix and Evernote. Point all installations towards the 500gb hard drive in the keyboard, which means you'll use it more like a laptop than a tablet. The hybrid element only kicks in for me when I detach the keyboard and I'm streaming content / watching YouTube / BBC iPlayer in bed.

5. Weight distribution when in laptop mode. It doesn't sit straight / true on your lap as a normal laptop would. Shift slightly and your Asus t200 wobbles and falls on it's back.

I bought my one from Argos, it was on offer at £269.99. I fully regret it.

Are you sure? You got proof it's this model if so, you got it for a steal and its seems way worse than every review I have seen.....plus you never returned it ?or left a negative review on Argos to help others? I find that hard to believe....please prove me wrong

I knew there was something fishy with my review. I was a bit trigger happy quoting that price. I paid £329.99, NOT £269.99. Apologies - quoted wrong price.

Why didn't I leave a negative review on the Argos website? Never got around to it and I buy from Argos only when they're the cheapest available - I avoid buying from them at every opportunity and as such I don't partake in writing reviews on their website and the like. I should have - I didn't, what can I say, bad shopper here.
Why didn't I return it? Exempt from 30 guarantee said the lady at the till and says the receipt too and I didn't fancy going in to fight them over what I considered 'buggy' behaviour that would iron itself out. I can't speak for other people and their positive reviews, but I can speak for my own experience - even if I quoted the wrong price in my initial post.

Thanks for the quick reply of course your review and opinion matters but as you say price was fishy .....that been said I would fight tooth and nail with manufacturer and seller to recoup my money or replace the product but I irritatingly would send food back if it was overcooked lol thanks for the product experiance review sorry if I offended but there are loads of transformer types and most are pretty naff lol

No offence taken. I knew I got something wrong and was waiting for someone to catch me out.
I would fight Argos tooth and nail but would have to set aside a morning or afternoon to do it - which, believe it or not, I haven't had free since I bought the dam thing !!
