Personally, from the description they are neither new nor refurbished, simply used.
I've had the Android version for a few years. You can't fault the battery life with the keyboard attached. I've had 20 hours out it. But a 10 inch screen isn't the best size for many types of work.

Working on a largeish spreadsheet with a 10" screen can be difficult to say the least. I view this device as the successor to the old intel atom netbook. Lightweight, great battery life, reasonable performance, decent screen and well specced generally for the price - except for the 32GB drive which will only leave about 15GB free for programs etc. It will make an ideal travelling companion for both entertainment and for also doing some 'proper' work. The fact that they all come 'retail boxed' is an encouraging sign to me. Office Home & Student has got to be a big plus. If i was in the market for a tablet/netbook to supplement my main PC/laptop, then this looks a good deal to me at this price.
Got mine updated to windows 10. Good little portable machine for the occasional trips away

Also has an SD slot to expand storage...maybe not the fastest for application installs but an SD card will be fine for File storage

Agree that the microsd is plenty for data. I had a Windows 8.1 device with a 32GB system disk and it filled up at an alarming rate with endless windows updates and a few installed programs/games. You can live with 32GB and there are plenty of of hint and tips out there to help but we are almost in 2016 and believe me, 32GB is stingy if you're doing more than surfing and emails. Mind you, on something like this Asus Transformer T100Tdeal, i would not count the 32GB as being a dealbreaker.
Just a heads up, some of these 32gb ssd's might be mmc's is it? some memory hybrid variation anyhow. Fedora 22 didn't see the drive at all on the last one I bought at all.
I think this retailer is doing a Amazon, its got up to £145.00 oO

I use Ubuntu on mine. It's mostly stable now although still missing a few things (Bluetooth, multitouch on the trackpad)

I just ordered a refurbished one from argos on ebay when 20% off was going on the other day. I have to say I am VERY impressed with it the look and the performance. I use it for mainly university work and browsing. I am thinking to get another one for my boyfriend for xmas. Can't recommend enough!
