I built a system with this board last September. Cant complain so far ..
If you buy and are going to use 2 NVMe drives make sure you flash to the latest BIOS first ...

I'm looking forward to taking receipt of it, this is the last part for my build now

AMD Ryzen5 3600
2x4gb ddr2400 (to be upgraded when funds recover)
GTX1070

Can't afford NVME drives just yet, but thanks for the heads up.

Should have just got a b450 for those big standard parts. Even a b550 if you wanted something new.

Hoping to upgrade down the line, the b450 would of hindered me some what. The x570 is the top of the line chipset, so thought I'd go for this for the difference in cost.

How did the motherboard hinder you?

What you planning on upgrading to, 12-16 core Ryzen 4xxx CPU?
Beware the ethernet sockets on this board first board ethernet was dead on arrival returned, second board think the ethernet socket died today after 3 months (Primed a wifi card here tommorow). Agree with needing to flash the bios if you want to install NVMe drives, drove me nuts for for a few hours until I updated the bios.

Didn't think Ryzen liked ram that slow
I have this board, the bios is like zx spectrum graphics! Fine board for the cash though...

I have the same dilemma as you and I've been researching my mobos and I'll have pretty much same setup. It sounds like unless you're planning on going for a 39xx AM4 then a B450 will be perfectly fine, or you need the pci gen 4 nvme speeds (which benefit productivity as opposed to gaming).

The trouble I have is I was about to purchase this same board but I upgrade every 5 years or so (if even that) , so by that time we'd be on gen 7 or something so I'd need a new mobo anyways, so I might just save my cash for something else, like a haircut.

I'd get a B450 if you're planning on acquiring a next gen CPU otherwise you're better saving your cash.

Works OK just not optimal.

That makes total sense.

Buy a B550 which is an inferior chipset over the X570 which can be had for around the same price.

Intresting.
Instead of getting that board (which was a lot more expensive at the time) I ended up getting the Asus Prime X570-P which is currently £169.49. The two boards are both good in my opinion

Cold its ryzen ;-)
I recently built my pc with this mobo. No issues so far. Paired with a Ryzen 5 3600 and 16gb DDR4-3600 Ram.
Cheers for all the advise, gonna stick with my choice I think

Cant believe Amazon have put the price up to £207!!!, of course its cheaper from other sellers, but you get peace of mind buying from Amazon!

I have had the exact same thought process, do I spend an extra £50 for a newer mobs or go with a B450. I think when I come to upgrade next in 5 or so years the motherboard will need replacing whichever one I get now.
Just received it.No factory seal neither on box not on antistatic pouch/film.Is it normal?

Mine was exactly the same.
Very close inspection of the board it looked brand new.

But I would be interested to hear if no seals on box or anti-static bag is the norm or not?
