Ho are these AMD GPUs compared to the Nvidia ones? I was (ideally) looking at getting a gaming laptop with an RTX 3070 (ideally with a 1440p screen for around the £1000 mark. How would this compare, especially when it comes to the GPU and screen?

the 7600S is on par with the laptop version of the RTX 4060, they trade blows with each other. But the 4060 will have DLSS, better ray tracing and has frame generation, whereas the 7600S only has FSR really. So in raw performance they are roughly equal, but the 4060 with its extra features seems to be the best bet. Dell currently have a 4060 with a 1440p screen for £1100 and the 4060 is often better than the 3070, especially as it has DLSS 3.0 compared to 2.0

Considering how cheap M.2 drives are at the moment, how mean is a 512GB drive in a £1k laptop

Would this be able to run GTA 5 in high quality?

weaker than a 4060 laptop which is saying something when they're about the same price, good if you like AMD though

Ah the 250-300nits version of the screen not the 500 nit model. Same as the £1100 Currys one. Still pretty nice if screen brightness isn't a concern, a decent weight too. Should last agess on a charge (edited)

I brought the lower spec model from AO for £600 and found it gets very hot and the battery doesn’t last even 2 hours while using. Im unsure whether this will be the same or not for this model though.

I had the same issue. I just can’t trust this model.

Decided to pick this one up. Reliability of Amazon, next day delivery by 1pm. No waiting 2 weeks for the dell. Decently well reviewed with good footage on YouTube. Fits my use case of RTS, Grand strategy, league and warcraft.

All for under £1k and I always play in the dark.

Also can easily upgrade ram with crucial to 32gb for only £60 and get another SSD.
