Enjoy pro-level speed with the ASUS TUF VG27AQ1A Quad HD 27" IPS LCD Gaming Monitor. It provides a 170 Hz refresh rate at 2K resolution. That's more than enough for even the most keen-eyed gamer. And the 1 ms response time won't leave you hanging either.

Seamless performance
To keep things fluid and seamless, there are extra ASUS sync technologies like Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB), to accompany G-Sync. That means no tearing, blurring or lost frames even at high frame-rates.

Complete the experience with built-in speakers
There's no need to fork out for external speakers - the VG27AQ1A Gaming Monitor provides full sound from two 2 W speakers. Get stuck into your games and enjoy an all-round fuller experience.

I have this monitor - it's OK but look elsewhere for this sort of money. E.g. the Dell one
    Which model mate?

Can this be attached to a laptop and if so can anyone advise what else I'd need cable wise? My kids has a decent laptop but only a 15' screen.
What exact laptop do you have? This could be completely overkill and you'd be wasting your money.

    15.6" ASUS TUF Gaming FX505DT-AL086T, 120Hz FHD, Ryzen 5 3550H, 8GB DDR4, 256GB NVMe SSD, 4GB GTX 1650

    Appreciate the replies
With a GTX1650 the laptop won't be getting the most out of this monitor. You'll be aiming for 1080p at 60hz+ (depending on what your kids are playing of course). If it's just more real estate to enjoy the picture you're after, perhaps look at 24" 1080p monitors which will be much cheaper. 1080p won't look great on a 27" monitor.

On the other hand, a 27" QHD monitor like this or the Dell 2721DGFA will be more future proof and you may find less demanding games like Minecraft can achieve a stable frame rate at the higher resolution.
