Cold voters, please tell me the reason. Can you find it cheaper anywhere? Or what is wrong with this notebook as I have just bought it now so that I can cancel.

probably because you can have core2duo machines £400 onwards... granted not 11inch screens but hey, I didn't vote cold so don't know for sure...

I didn't vote your deal cold but that you are paying a serious premium for it's portability. it's specs are average at best.

Compare it to this Samsung for £590.00

512MB with Vista Business and max 1.5GB is a bit lacking?

The Processor speed is actually 1.06ghz.

Not a particular bad price for a 11.1", but nowadays £750 probably you can buy a performance large laptop and an EEE PC with money to spare. Which might work out better in certain circumstances.

You think its cool because its asus but its not its a DELL with asus wrote on it my advice is cancel a.s.a.p you can ge a much better machine for a lot less money DELL are OEM for ASUS laptops and other motherboard makers

the whole point is this is an ultra portable....
And as such has quite a decent spec and is at an excellent price.

if you just want a bog standard laptop then its obviously not a good deal, If you dont want to lug a beast around with you all day then its one of the best deals ive seen on here in a very long time!

Anything smaller?

Anything smaller?

quite a few 10, 9, 7" lappies around

fujitsu have the lifebook P series which are quite nice, which i think come in a 9inch tablet and a 10 inch laptop
vye do a 7" tablet pc range which is fairly reason in price too , and youve always got the asus eee pc at the same range.

I thought it was a good offer because,
1. Asus offers 2 years international warranty.
2. They offer Zero Bright Dot Guarantee i.e. if a pixel is faulty they will replace it.
3. It comes with TWO batteries ( One 3 cell and one 6 cell)
4. An external DVD-RW
5. Free Bluetooth Mous
6. Free case
7. Screen cleaning cloths
And it is just under 1 KG. The memory can be upgraded (£15 for 1GB at Crucial UK).
I still think it is a good deal, no?
