Actually it's the same processor as the CULV Dual core pentiums with the exception of having half the amount of cache. With a lower powered cpu like this it wont make that much real world difference. Much better than Atoms. Does the job.

Super Hot from me. WOW What a deal, dual core processor, ample ram and decent size hard drive. Very good reviews too. Sadly, I allready bought a mini laptop but Heat added from me. Noticed they just put the price down too.

is these wifi N? Anyone ordered from one previous can comment?

This is a bargain! I would of tried buying it again had i not bought the hp 311!

and yes it does wifi n according to specs

anyone knows if you get an oem Windows 7 installation CD?

I want one. A stop-gap between a Netbook & Laptop.

mmmm, what do I go for this or tinyurl.com/yc5…x5h as reckon I only need a netbook as only really surf, but never used a netbook and wonder if i'll be dissapointed, if going for the lesser option!

??????????????

Does this have a CD/DVD drive? Thanks

Amazing deal, ordered. (So glad I didn't order a fortnight ago at £399 lol)

Just extra weight and size, can't remember the last time I used an optical drive on a laptop.

Sorry to play the same tune here but would anybody be able to run a DPC latency check for me on one of these? I tried in CPW but they're locked even to the staff (admin process locked)?

My quidco just tracked at £17.45, this is cheaper than 12" netbooks and twice the spec and speed.

I had Asus 1005ha Netbook as I only browse but it wasn't enough - youtube and other flash videos sucked on it, then I bought a larger very powerfull laptop... but that was too bulky and heavy. This seems like a good inbetweener!

Just run DPC on mine and it says it should have no problem streaming HD video/audio without dropouts :>

hi can you advise were the 2 year warranty is stated and is it any good, thanks

Yeah I know its confusing - I was hoping for 2 yr as well but everyone who has bought one says it has stickers everywhere saying 1 yr warranty.

If it doesn't come with DVD/CD drive you can always buy external once...price decent for portable laptop....

likes once here..
ebuyer.com/pro…607

Still looks like a very good buy,I wonder how the author got 2 Years?

where did you guys get the idea of 2 years warranty?

I have some questions that hopefully any owner of this laptop can answer me
1. how many hours of battery you get in average usage?
2. Do you find the touch pad difficult to use? like because the pad is flush with the hand rest level?
3. Does Asus includes a Windows 7 DVD for me to reinstall in case I messed up something?
4. Do you have any weak wifi connection problem? or getting drop out easily?

thanks

Wowzers Good deal. Been pining for an i5 13 incher, but there's no way I need an i5, this shows 909 on cpubenchmark.net, and this almost half the price of an i5.

Don't need the weight of the optical drive, when I do, I'll carry an external..

Sweet...

Mr %

I was going to order this at 399 but then realised it aint the same as a lot of the UL30A reviews. Most refer to the one with the 8cell 12 hour battery, 4gb RAM instead of 3 and the better processor (SU7300). So I went for this one instead at £555 delivered. Didnt seem as big a gap between 400 and 550 at the time but now that this is £350 this is a complete steal. Now I'm struggling to justify the difference for a slightly better CPU, battery life and ram

Dude, the su7300 is only 995 on passmarkcpu.net, cf. 909. 1 gig extra mem, which 32 bit win struggle to use. Not sure about battery life...

350 is more than a complete steal....cf 500...deffo not worth the extra money....

apologies for being dim: this is classified by some review sites as a notebook; I want to use this for web and MS Office- can I do this?

How much do people reckon the new Asus UL30 JT (which will have either the I5 or I7 processor + graphics chip) will go for when they come out soon? Cant decide whether to go for this or wait.....
