Good deal if you can get it for the student price
I'm sure someone will ask so it might as well be me, IPS? The specs on the site lack a little detail.
Yes, Asus recently has become the worst offender for not specifying screens types, so one should assume TN panels
Studentbeans doesn't work

Unless it says "178° viewing angles" it will definitely be TN.

Good job it says 'Its NanoEdge display boasts wide 178° viewing angles'
Its a TN Panel, so not too excited but for many it will be more than enough for normal content consumption

Ah does it? Well be careful is my advice. I bought an Asus Vivobook that said exactly that on the description. Confirmed with retailer - yes its IPS sir. Got it home. Its TN. Queried the serial with Asus - oh that is TN. Difference being no mention of 178° viewing angles on the box. Wasted a load of my time - thankfully fully refunded
In this price range the HP Pavillion 14 with Gen 10 i5 (pc world exclusive) will be a better deal, IPS, faster than this gen 8 i7 and 30 quid cheaper!

It's an IPS. 200 nits display is not very bright.
Battery life is average, 2 cell 32wh.
