This seems not a bad deal, been searching for another laptop for some time, appreciate xmas time it was around £400 mark but those prices have gone, and for £40 extra you can get 2 years cover and accidental damage cover

next option is Amazon renewed but 14 inch screen and i 7..
which is better option? with Amazon warranty both work out at £540 /£550

Better to go for this Asus instead, the M509 has IPS display at £479.97.
BOX is a good company.

Depends what you intend to use it for...
Can anyone see if it has an IPS screen?

Edit according to an argos review it is a TN screen

I am looking for home and office use..not gaming
Please add this is Ryzen 5 3 series, and it’s only got 2 cel battery. Doesn’t say it’s IPS or tn.
When u compare it to some of the Lenovo deals where u can get ryzen 5 4 series a lot more stronger and 16 ram for around this price then this is cold

If it’s just email and internet and office then u don’t need anything special
A basic i3 10th gen with 8 ram and ssd, was an offer for 329 about 2 weeks ago or a ryzen 3 4 series at around 350-400 max is plenty enough for what u wanna do
Not a bad deal, but there are better laptops out there for the same money. Even this is i3 only, I believe it will be a better choice:

Looking to replace my old i3, still looking before I buy this one..

Not ips screen but seems decent spec for the money? They do i5 chip for similar money, struggling to decide.

But that TN screen is nasty, not sure why you would want it. And it's not even a good price.
Should really be £400ish, especially as no IPS. There's better value elsewhere TBH.

Bar the screen it's a decent processor, 512gb ssd, 8gb ram? I don't play games or watch movies on it, and I'm used to this 4 year old laptop that I'm replacing so I doubt the screen is any worse than that? Spec wise I thought it was decent for the money but happy to look at others.

I don't think there are. Only if you are willing to wait a while for the Lenovo customisable options which can take a long time to ship.

Any other alternatives for less than £500 you would have to compromise on screen, processor etc.
