cold much better options out there for example ebuyer.com/901…8uk
Not much of a workhorse with 4 gig of memory
Can get better specs for this price, however totally disagree with the comments about the CPU or 4 GB RAM, these will put people off. I can't understand why a normal user will need more. Mine has this configuration and everyone using my laptop is surprised how fast it is. It also makes a huge difference in comparison with my old laptop. If you don't play games and use it as web browsing, watching videos, normal usage, you do not need more.

What comments about the CPU?
4GB is okay, but as applications are developed and more features are added to both the OS and apps, the extra GB makes all the difference. I know future proofing in the computer space is difficult, but 8GB RAM will put you in a good position for the next few years.

Just as an SSD and HD (1080) screen is the minimum, 8GB RAM is what users should be looking for when shopping for a laptop. Of course a half decent CPU (8th Intel for example) is also desirable.

The ones that will follow, as every time an i3 or i5 deal is posted, people talk about i7, it has to be the 8th generation and so on. While I agree an i7 is better than i3 and 8GB RAM is way better than 4, this will not make a huge difference for people who are not doing anything special on the laptop.
The comment above suggests min 8GB RAM, full HD, 128GB SSD and so on. Got mine 4 years ago, had very good specs for the time, but yes, slightly outdated now. It serves me well, as I do on it exactly the same things I did 4 years ago. And it is faster than my work laptop i7 and 8GB RAM.

Not about this deal but I often see comments about the need for 4k only, power delivery, Thunderbold, tablets needing minimum 3GB RAM and so on. It is better to have these, but are not necessarily a need.
If they only had 8 ram this will hot as anything.
This i3 is much stronger than old i3 processors
256 ssd is what u find on laptops double the price
Also Small laptop form / body
Very small screen bezel
For under 400 quid to have everything y need including a very decent i3 is a good buy if only it was 8ram. Yes 4 is plenty fine for everyday use today but not future proof and will struggle as tech moves fast
