I know, eh? Still waiting for that i7 7700HQ, 1080 32GB RAM with a 15" QHD display for £90.

Realistically, though, it's £90 for a laptop. The specs will be basic.

Reviews are not that great and it is refurbished. But it is under £90 so may appeal to some.

Looks smart for the price. Might be worth buying and loading a lighter OS on it.
Curious here, what kind of person this appeals to? Like, I've used pc's my whole life, but know no-one with this sort of spec pc, because well, even mobile phones from 3 years ago are better than this laptop, the only downside not being able to type like on an actual keyboard.

I get it, it's £90, but if you have a reasonable spec mobile phone (most do these days) why would anyone want this?

My 8 year old son wants to play pc games and I won’t let him on my £999 laptop so this would be ideal. Very basic games I mean . Dirty heights for example.

Would make more sense to purchase a £30 hard drive for that.

As for the games, can't comment as I have no idea what that game is

I think you have just repeated what ST3123 was saying M0nk3h. You're trying to sarcastically respond to something you are agreeing with....
Back years a go as a Hotukdeals newbie I would have clicked buy just for the price then got it home and thought it wasn't good enough. Learned a lot since those fast clicky days.
Recently purchased a Refurb Lenovo IdeaPad 110S 11 Inch Celeron 1.6GHz 2GB 32GB Laptop from the Argos eBay store for £95 and it was excellent condition. I’m purely using it for website testing (I use a Mac to build them).

I did find have the 32gb HD makes it very tricky to update Windows to the latest version but after a few attempts and deleting as much as I possibly could from the HD it eventually decided to update.

If you could put an ssd in and some more ram this laptop would suffice for basic browsing capabilities. Otherwise it will be so frustratingly slow you'd never bother using it.

Do you honestly need that answering? You can’t honestly come up with any reasons why anyone would use a laptop (albeit low power) instead of a mobile phone...

Decent size screen, decent keyboard, ability to use windows applications, other peripherals, the list continues.

Its an acceptable spec laptop for many people, for £90. Good deal

It's a legitimate question. A single core processor running at 1.1ghz is good for absolutely nothing. Once you open up a single tab in a browser it will be at maximum usage. It's literally not good enough to do Internet browsing.

Yes, because it's terrible.
The above is a marginally better deal. Yes it is a bit more, but its 14 inches and an extra 2gb of RAM. I got one at this price as needed something cheap, it just about does what I need it to, but needs a memory stick to upgrade windows. I also complained because it is advertised as with SSD, however if you look on the argos page (not ebay) it doesnt, so got an extra 10% back for wrong description. I also had bought this on the 20% off anything on ebay day, so paid under £100 for this in the end, so no complaints from me.

It’s 1.1Ghz dual core and is fine for web browsing. I have a Lenovo 100S (which is basically the same as this) and use it a lot when I need something with a keyboard and proper Word/Excel. It’s brilliant for the money and plenty fast enough. It’s light enough to toss in a backpack without a bulky case when on the bike nor to be too fussy about being a premium ultrabook and molly-coddling it.

Please stop talking absolute rubbish about one tab and the memory is full. I run Chrome on mine with over 10 tabs open, yes it has to page and reload them but I am never really waiting for it, and it’s infinitely easier working on a small laptop than a mobile phone where the keyboard takes up half the viewport.

It’s clear this isn’t for you. This is a modern reincarnation of the netbook and is usable, for £90 it’s a steal.

It's perfect for neither of those things, it's 32gb, windows OS uses most of that so you won't have any space for pictures.

With regards to office, office uses storage space, which this doesn't have, so let alone this thing being able to run it, you won't be able to get office into it..

Aaannnd, it's far too slow

Go and find another thread to troll for goodness sake, people like you are the scourge of this site. 32GB of storage, after Windows, has 19-20GB free. Office needs 1-2GB of storage. LibreOffice (free) takes even less.

Of course, you're probably right though, there are mountains of these things just going unused because these can't 'run or fit' Office onto it and massive lawsuits against Intel for releasing CPUs that are 'far too slow'. Oh wait. There isn't. Because everything you said is absolute rubbish.

He is right, i have got a similar device
1, it is ridiculously slow
2, there is only windows and kodi on mine, about 5 GB free space left (temps deleted) office is about 3GB
3, major windows updates can't be istalled, they need 4-5GB to download and 6GB free space to install

Looks like a pretty standard cheap laptop. Add an sd card/usb stick for cheap storage and it will work fine. Obviously you're limited to a bit of browsing and word processing but some things work much better on a big screen and keyboard . These slow laptops would of been fast some years back and windows if anything is better on slow machines than ever and word hasn't changed that much.
Personally think a cheap business refurb off eBay may be a better bet but then it's a bit pot luck with the battery and any problems.
Received mine, looks like brand new, enough for what I need it for. Storage is a pain but not enough to kill the deal, for this price is worth the risk. Thanks OP!
