Just bought one... then realised it's only 4GB as I wanted a 8GB one :(. Shame - the i5-8265U CPU is pretty good.

Think I'll buy a 16GB stick of memory for £75 and have a 20GB laptop

Try to get matching DIMMs so you can dual channel the memory, better performance.

didn't know that. Thinking of the 16GB on this site... mrmemory.co.uk/mem…0fa

Not sure if it's the best price for 16GB. Although 4GB and 16GB isn't matching.

Can anyone confirm that the memory is upgradable?

How much would it cost to upgrade to 8Gb/12Gb/16Gb respectively?
Why is this getting cold?
From the countless reviews and teardowns I've read, it comes with 4GB that cannot be removed and one spare slot. Crucial's prices are:

8GB (4+4) is £19.99
12GB (4+8) is £34.79
20GB (4+16) is £68.39
Is the screen glossy or matte?

Not sure. Amazon (amazon.co.uk/ASU…h=1) are selling one priced at £799, but that comes with 8GB and 512GB. Think adding a 4GB simm and 1/2 the SSD, £469 (£424 + £35) isn't bad.

Better to compare with pc's with similar spec. This might be the best available with i5, 256GB SSD, IPS, now that the Lenovo 330s code is expired. Also, people may not realise that the i5-8265U is +11% effective speed than the i5-8250 in a lot of the deals floating around.

Can't figure out why this isn't a stonking deal. Tempted to send it back based on the chill factor. Other places sell this model for:

laptopsdirect (£579)
eBuyer (£568)
Asus store (£700)
Scan (£700)

Do these Vivobooks have TN screens? I think they might do?
