Well as long as we're clear it's not as good as your Dell Voctro, that's alright then.
Noooooo, looked perfect but the pic shows half height enter key! Why Asus why?!

Was thinking of getting the Acer Swift 3 that's been on sale recently, but not being able to upgrade the RAM put me off.

How's the screen on this? Anyone have any comments on this laptop in general?

3 USB type A ports (3.1 Gen1 and 2.0), USB Type C 3.1, HDMI, SD card slot (unsure if it is Micro or full size), headphone jack, no backlit keyboard.

I have the swift 3 and easily upgraded the ram.
I got lucky and got a dell xps 13 off Amazon Warehouse for £599. If not would be all over this. Heat added!
Is this an IPS screen or a tn? Anyone know?
Not XPS standard but looks good for a budget ultrabookish laptop
Thanks for posting, just what I was after!
Looks good to me!!

It's micro SD
Really tempted by this as my Asus UX305C is slowly giving up the ghost. The only concern I have is stepping 'down' from a QHD+ display. What are everyone's thoughts on this? The rest of the specification will undoubtedly blow mine out of the water.

It's either this or just pay more for a Surface / MacBook I guess!

You'd be paying the £250+ premium for a better screen if you went with the surface or macbook, in my opinion a MacBook typically lasts longer and is faster, but I'll never buy one because of the closed ecosystem.

Pity the turquoise option is still £699, I love the colour of it!

Check out the reviews. I'm convinced it's not an IPS display and should avoid if screen quality matters. Step up your game, Asus!

Fast charge on a laptop? Wonder how it fares and if it degrades the battery faster.
1080p good, they don't state what type of display but going by these I presume IPS

Looks alright but what's the battery life and how many USB ports are minimum USB 3.0?

Re the screen the description says 178 degree wide viewing angle, so presumably that means IPS, no?

Oh, I'd go for the 330s. If you are still in two minds, just read some owners comment from Argos.
FYI, the model Argos is selling is the 3 cells battery version of the 330s. Not sure if JL version is the same.

Thank you. I have no idea what a 3 cells battery is or what it's for! Also I can't see any mention of that on the Argos or JL product listing, so no idea if it's the same model/battery. The Argos version states that software is included - does that mean it comes with Microsoft Office already on there?

Normally it's the trial 30 days version of office. You would have longer battery with more cells, like the Currys version is 2 cells, doesn't really matter if you're plug in all the time at home.
No IPS screen. I just asked Asus.

Thanks again! I've found both models on the Lenovo model comparison pdf and the only difference I can see is as follows:
John Lewis vs Argos
Battery 30Wh vs 52.5WH
Power Adaptor 45W vs 65W

The Currys model is the same as the JL version, except for storage where the JL and Argos versions state '256BG SSD', the Currys version states '256GB SSD M.2 PCle NVMe' - do you know what that means in plain English?!

So, the Argos version comes with a 65W power adapter which supports fast charging.
Think NVMe is the fastest type of SSD. I think is standard on the 330s range.

You can upgrade the ram in the swift 3 (are you thinking of the swift 5?)

According to notebookcheck the screen is pretty mediocre (Color space is only 58 percent and 37 percent of the sRGB and AdobeRGB) and I've seen various reviews saying there is some flex in the body making the keyboard spongy.
This or the Huawei matebook D for an extra 50 quid?

Exactly similar in specs and only £30 cheapter. Which one of these for better build quality?
The Acer has an IPS screen. Still £500. 10% topcashback too. But its an Acer :-(

It's a TN screen. Terrible reviews on Amazon
Screen is dull, lets be honest. TN with nothing special to offer. Pass.
How is the battery life on this?
