Excellent laptop for the money. Have one and highly recommend it. Built quality is lovely as most of it's aluminum except for the base.

Refurbished though, yeah?

careful: this comes with a Qualcomm Atheros wireless card for which the manufacturer does not offer drivers for public downloads. And the OEM (Asus) one has problems with wireless connection dropping and not being able to reconnect.

I had a S200e and returned it after a week after there was no working driver to be found and Asus support could not recommend anything beyond a factory reset which takes hours and of course will not solve anything.

The touchpad driver had problems too, multi-touch (scrolling, right-click) would not work reliably.

The screen is very dim and has poor viewing angles. I might have put up with that, but above issues made it impossible to use.

Strange, I have found wifi to be fine, always works, and screen is great - no issues with mine.

Also bought from Dabs for £150 refurbished. Was in mint condition, not a scratch to be seen.
No issues with WiFi or touchpad. Screen is bright enough for me (remember a really bright screen will eat up battery) so I have no issues with that. Viewing angle also fine - especially for one or two people viewing at a time.
Absolutely superb little laptop, although not sure I would pay 299 for the celeron version (which I have). More a price for the i3 version. Check Acerdirect before you buy

In mint condition and upgraded to Win 8.1. Came in original box.

No problems with screen, touchpad or Wifi ...... (yet).
