Are laptops going up in price? I was able to get an Asus M409 mid-Feb with a Ryzen 5 processor off Amazon for £399.
Had to send it back as the charging cable didn't click properly into place, but otherwise it was a good bit of kit.
I personally would not buy a laptop with 4GB of ram in 2020.

I personally would not buy a laptop with 4GB of ram in 2020.

Need to check how much an extra 4 gig costs and see if its cost effective.
It is worth to wait little bit as price fluctuate a lot. I bought the exact same model about month ago for £329 as John Lewis was price matching Argos. As Alansmithee pointed out limited 4GB of ram pushed me to top it up with another 8GB of ram (£27 on ebay) from Crucial which is more than enough for basic tasks. This model has got the space for additional Sata SSD so I am thinking of adding it too.
Pretty rubbish specs for that money
I've got the very similar X420. Great laptop in every way EXCEPT that the screen angles are TERRIBLE as it uses a low quality TN panel screen. Fine for office work and web browsing but terrible for watching movies etc.

As for this particular deal, its not worth it. There are loads of refurb X420s on Ebay that can be had for around £200-£300 and they are basically the same laptop as this.
