This will be painfully slow with traditional hard disk drive. I also think getting at the hard disk will be difficult (take whole of back of laptop off). So, only simple way may be to replace CD/DVD drive with hard disk tray with SSD...

EDIT: my plan has been thwarted... "Optical Drive Not Included (Designed To Be Thin & Light)"

Hdd isn't too bad to upgrade to ssd. Unscrew the back and pop the keyboard off.
Thin & light (1.9 kg!)

Even i3 can be slow, Celeron is Chromebook kind

Did you notice if there was room for a CD/DVD drive? (thinking of a caddy with SSD...)

People always talk about casual use with things like Netflix or Youtube on a device like this. What they forget, is that the screen will be awful, sporting poor viewing angles, washed out colours and a lack of brightness.

This may be better. Small screen 13.3inches but good value with Pentium CPU. NB. m.2 ssd must be added to make it usable (for Windows)...but these laptops are £90...

Yep got one. Screen is IPS so good but only 13.3inched. Needs an m.2 SSD (£20 for 128gb) and fitting is via service hatch on bottom.... Then image windows (from default 32gb disk) and... Finally change boot device.

Nice info Musicrab. For me, 13.3" IPS > 15.6" TN.
