Yes it's like getting someone home only to find they have no "bits".
Was so attractive on the surface

Agree with all the above, that AMD CPU is terrible. Would rather a Celeron based laptop.

Hmmm, looks a bit slow but does have 4gb of ram. I did get a packard bell 10 inch touchscreen (celeron processor) in tesco not long back in-store, its not bad for the money tbh, others may be lucky.

That spec looks horrendous. Go for a Miix 3 or something.

That APU is pretty weak, it's a Q1 2013 tablet part hence the clock speed, The HDD is no help either, but to swap it out for a SSD means stripping the base of the machine 100% down top and bottom and it's not a job for those faint of heart.

abysmal cpu.

Yes, this looks pretty unbalanced. Does it really beat a Linx 10 or a Miix 3? I doubt it.

I got this the other day and it is TERRIBLE. It is extremely slow, it took minutes to load the daily mail website, could only open about 2 pages at a time on Chrome, scrolling was choppy. So bad. I've sent mine back.

It marvels me how this particular machine always get hot when posted. I bought it for a bargain £108 last year, sold off the office key for £50, so had it for under £60. Even at £60, I will nit buy it again, its rubblish, terribly slow. Find something else

Anyone recommend something slightly better than this?

I've seen a few but pretty low ssd memory. Xt205 Hpstream for example.

It's not easy to find something good in this price range. Here is a good refurbished one:

Windows 8.1
Intel® Core™ i5-4258U Processor
Memory: 6 GB
Graphics: Intel® Iris™
Hard drive: 120 GB SSD
Screen resolution: 1920 x 1080

Price: £329

ignoring the rules. The miix 3 ruins windows very smoothly. I was surprised. Plus the bonus of being a real tablet and 8 hrs battery

I find Microsoft does a good enough job of ruining it by itself.

Looks to be a great bargain laptop, which it is, but do not expect to play high graphically demanding games with this, as the laptop has a very weak AMD APU 1.0Ghz Dual Core CPU, I am really surprised that it can handle the full version of Windows 8.1 despite the horrible CPU.
