So is there a chance the chips will not fit on here?
No should be good, it may require a bios update tho,

No the 3000 will work fine in this after BIOS update (might not be needed) but if you want top performance from a high end of you'll want the latest chipset to pair it with.
Not looking at top. My first pc build

That looks like first part of my new PC. Am I right thinking that this should be nice couple with ryzen 2700X ?? Just needs cpu to go down a bit

Yep, perfect for using with the 2700X.
Aaarghh just bought a mobo but had my eye on this and it was just out of my price range and I've already started assembling the other so I can't return it!!
Zen2 announcement on the 28th, unless you desperately need a new system right now I’d hold off another 2 weeks.

I saw somewhere that new chipset will be launched for Zen2!

Yep x570 and b550 and probably b530.

I can confirm it works very well with a Ryzen 2700X, water cooling, 64Gb 3466ram and a fast nvme ... It's a beast!

And I'm sure with upcoming 3000 CPU's, it will work very well also (infact my latest bios update only had one item in the changelog ... "Update for upcoming CPU's")

For the cost of just a new CPU later on, this board is very well future proofed. AMD have nailed this as a business model! And IMHO Intel's days are numbered.

I have heard rumours that the new 16 core (Ryzen 9?) chips will not work on Zen1 boards, personally at 2 weeks to Computex I would wait. Also the new boards will have PCIe 4.0 which will future proof it more.

It will work great, but we are apparently pretty close to the next generation launching and you will either want one of those or the price saving that will come with 2700X being cheaper after the launch. I'm usually not one to advocate waiting, but with AMD pricing and the improvements it will likely bring I would(and am).

I will wait and see.. I still have 30days amazon return as I'm not going to open it before I get all the stuff.

Basically I'm stretching my budget anyway as it was suppose to be 2600X in the first place.. so I hope the 2700x will drop after they introduce next generation.

I'm still runing my few years old Athlon x4 so this shoud last another 5 or so years
There will be a list of confusing names for these new X570 boards and how will one manufacurer be different from another?

I'm willing to lay down £250 for a decent board. I am still on an Intel i7 920 and Gigabyte GA X58A-UD3R so this will be a big upgrade when I become the proud owner of a Ryzen 3000 series CPU with 7nm technology.

I wouldn't do that, the board can be DOA and it's just a pain, always buy everything you need all at once. I've never seen a deal so good to justify having new parts sitting on a shelf, especially so close to a new hardware launch.
