I probably know the answer to my question already, but a Tech savvy answer would be a good thing.I dont game or do any work on my laptop.Browse the Web / stream a programme or footy match / and the odd email and you tube.So with this in mind is there any reason for me to NOT stick with Dual cores ?.Is the extra heat ejection something to worry about with a Quad core laptop ?.
Should be looking for 11th gen i3 at this price. Or if you want to 'future proof' then look for quad-core/hexa-core laptop.

Is this IPS or TN panel?
can you even get TN anymore? you may be right i think it is TN or else a poor IPS
    from an amazon review....
"The screen quality is ok, but the viewing angles are terrible. You have to adjust the screen to be looking dead on at it with any sort of movement else you won't be able to see anything - it is really bad. " (edited)

Would this be OK for online gaming (roblox mainly) or would a chromebook at a similar price be a better option?
Be ok for light gaming Roblox Minecraft etc but that’s about it

You looking for an android tablet or a Windows laptop? That will answer your question

It's good specs for the price, but you are going to regret that TN screen for every second of ownership. (I say this from experience of owning an Asus ROG machine with an awful TN screen.)

For most people, TN screens are perfectly fine; they're dominant amongst laptops, and few people complain.

Not all TN are bad, and not all IPS are good.

Review in person or ask those who have. Quality varies, so blanket generalisations are misguided.

For this price you're probably better going for a ThinkPad from ITZOO as you'll be able to upgrade it more easily
That's my plan also. I'm like a coiled spring for a decent discount code to drop. Probably a T480.

Good price but the processor isn’t great and the screen looks a bit washed out with tn and not ips (edited)
