Recently reduced, good price for spec: no SSD or FHD, but if you're looking for a good CPU + RAM + GPU for under £500, could be a good deal. One of very few laptops available yet to have the AMD FX 7600P, comparable to a low/mid i7.
Anyone bought it?

(PC World are also doing £25 off a £250 spend with O2 Priority, possible price £454.97)

Nice! Heat added. Is this good for light gaming?

Nice! Heat added. Is this good for light gaming?

Yes it will handle light gaming well.
Heat added, I'm impressed.

This is a good deal for the money and well suited for most gaming imho. Processor wise the performance of these AMD processor cores is comparable to a Haswell Core i5-4210U and the built in R7 graphics far ahead of the Intel chip, and is comparable to an nvidia GT730M. The second 2GB graphics card just puts the AMD even further in front of the similarly priced Intel option.

The only possible downside with this laptop is the 720p screen but that won't stop you games looking great and will possibly allow you to use higher graphics quality settings than you might have otherwise at 1080p. Plus you can always use an external monitor to get 1080p if it's that important to you for certain things.
