Marshmallow, apparently.
Okie doke.
Tiptop spot!

Constructive hands on review of the model in this deal

Is anything really beating a Nexus 7 2013 at this price point yet? If so, what? Failing that, is there a decent ROM that will give my stick N7 running Android 6 a new lease of life? It's pretty sluggish lately. Thanks.

I'd say the answer is no. I usually come on posts like this and recommend people buy a used nexus 7 2013 instead of what is listed in the post.

I kinda thought so, just need to speed the dang thing up a bit, the "new" OS has been pretty slow.

Get this nasty feeling we will still be in this boat in a few years time. The made the nexus so damn good.

Still can't think of another tablet that has qi charging for instance.
So is a Nexus 2013 model still better than todays one's then ? i have got no idea about these things.I have been looking at tablets of late and considering getting one.At the moment i have a Samsung Tab2 which i got for nothing but this will be my first purchase so want a fairly good one Does'nt need to be all singing and all dancing but a fair spec and on a budget of upto £140 ( refurb considered so could get better spec for ££'s ).May look down CEX because of the 2 years warranty given. Will be used for surfing and emails possible streaming of nowtv but no games.

I've found nothing that beats the 2013 Nexus 7, love mine and use it daily.

I actually bought a second one when they stopped making them, as I'd hate to be without one.
A 2nd hand Nexus 7 2013 tend to cost about £75 on eBay at present. Considering it costs about the same money should I really go for a 2nd hand tablet over this?
Thanks for the reply dataload, i was in town this afternoon and they had a Nexus 7 in a shop but at the time i couldnt remember what number Nexus it was that had been mentioned.Just googled shop 32 gb for £90 and 16 gb for £75 both 2nd Gen and B grade.Have you done anything with yours or is it factory standard ? Also what actually makes it better ? when you say you've found nothing that beats it.
Just got this, it upgraded to android 7 nougat I think. I got this as my hudl 2 is stuck on android 5, and battery drains to quickly now.
I’m seeing nowhere QI nexus 7.

Its only the 2013 that has qi. The zone you have to align with the charger is very small also.
