About this deal

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Think the cheapest I've seen this for the premium chassis of the ZenBook (over the VivoBook)?

The powerful and compact Zenbook 14 OLED is just 16.9mm slim and 1.39kg light, with a breath-taking new design that's timelessly elegant yet totally modern. You'll experience perfect visuals from the expansive OLED HDR NanoEdge touchscreen. The bold new lid design is inspired by timeless Kintsugi craftsmanship and is the new benchmark for portable perfection.

The NanoEdge design has ultra-slim bezels and a 90% screen-to-body ratio, which in turn gives Zenbook 14 OLED its svelte and compact form factor. For superb colour accuracy, the display is PANTONE Validated, and the DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification means it displays the deepest possible blacks. It also cares for your eyes during long screen sessions, with low blue-light levels that are certified by both SGS and TUV Rheinland.

There's no need to panic if power outlets are in short supply: Zenbook 14 OLED's long-lasting 75Wh battery can keep you productive for up to 18 hours. And when it's time to charge, there's no need to slow down — in just 49 minutes you can top it up to a 60% charge level.

Had this since November and thoroughly impressed. Understand the comments around the 'mesh' on the screen for touchscreen capability but I've got used to it and don't notice anymore - i think the OLED screen outweighs this gripe. Really nice build quality and doesn't feel like a sub-£1000 ultrabook.

Very 20% off deal for new (and some existing) customers takes it just under £600 (use WELCOME at checkout)

thank you for the information. I've ordered one. plus if you use tcb you'll get around 9 pounds cashback and plus you'll get 20 pounds if you referred very to someone and ordering it on their account so basically you'll get it for around 510 @case13

Same price on Amazon, but on Argos you also get 10% cashback if you’re registered with completesavings.co.uk

Great, if true. 10% cashback on eBay purchases? Makes me a little bit sceptical, but maybe there's a lot of small print.

I bought this and after an hour decided to return it. The touchscreen has been done on the cheap so there's a 'mesh' covering the entire screen, this is quite visible if you're around 30cm or less from the screen and you're looking at a text on a white background - yuk. the fan is also on almost all the time, it can be fairly quiet but i'm coming from a 5 year old windows surface laptop which is completely silent almost all the time so its a big step back. in summer i imaging the fans will be even louder. there's a 'quiet' mode but it limits the CPU to around 1/3. the speakers are under the laptop so the sound isn't as good as laptops with speakers facing you.
the oled is great - videos look almost 3d. but the mesh means text looks bad.

honestly the macbook air m1 seems like good value considering the battery life will be almost double and it will last a few years longer due to better reliability (according to which magazine).

You decided to send it back after an hour so not quite sure you had enough time to fully test it out. For example my fans ran almost all the time in the first day or so (whilst it ran numerous updates, installs etc) but have settled since only coming on for 'taxing tasks'.

I can't see the mesh effect on mine although as said earlier people have different levels of sensitivity to it.

The speakers were one of the plus points about this for me albeit I was comparing to an older XPS.

Whats the fan and noise like on this? tempted

Depends on the load. Dead silent and n basic document editing and web browsing. But if you load it it gets very loud.

I'm looking to get a similar one but wondering if the oled screen has issues with burnin, particularly with Windows having lots of static screen elements?
Any long term users able to confirm?

Just had this delivered and the Asus box seal was broken. No visible damage but got on Argos chat and they offered 10% to keep it. Doesn't affect warranty, just the 'damage' you're reporting on delivery so I accepted £70.

They said any issues discovered during use would be covered on warranty as normal. I also used the £5 code for signing up to marketing emails.

First of all, is there anyone on this site who doesn't know Argos offer free click-and-collect? It's pointless sticking that info in the title for Argos IMO.

Second of all, is it even available on C&C? It shows "Delivery within 5 days to...." for me with no option to collect from any store..
    greatnameuk's avatar
    Some people may not...

But yes it does not seem to be available for c&c so I think the title does need updating in that regard (edited)

Why there are no similar deals for ~13 inch laptops?

Does this come in 15.6" or larger?

I've been having a look and as far as I can see, the Vivobook comes in 15.6" but the Zenbook only 14". There are Zenbook Pros/Duos which are the more premium versions and add at least £400-500 to the price for similar specs + greater than 1080p OLED screen. This looks a decent FHD version at 15.6" hughes.co.uk/pro…13w (edited)

I have just bought one earlier today before I saw this post. I was buying it on Amazon on Monday and then it went OOS. It came back today and then when I googled it, I saw it at the same price on Argos, so I got vouchers and bought it.

I had a previous version from Amazon Warehouse that recently just broke, so this was a good time to buy a replacement as I had to go back to my very old Acer Aspire v5 (which still works pretty well considering, but didn't have the spec to move to Windows 11 and is just getting too slow to work on).

I've got this laptop overall very good for the price, fast, responsive and really good build quality.

I'm pretty sensitive to the screen door effect so that does bug me a little, but would much rather have an OLED rather than an IPS (which look dull in comparison)
