This may get really hot or really cold depending on whether people know what this is I suppose. I have been umming and ahing about the 512gb and 16gb ram version at this same price for a few days.

This is the 1tb version with 32gb ram. The machine has great reviews and if you need a second screen for multitasking, especially Photoshop etc this is a very good laptop for it.

Screen is OLED 4k too.

Hope this helps someone.

I'd just get confused and shout engage...
You should get at least 2 year warranty for such expensive laptop.

Forgot to add. Possible £30 Quidco too. I just ordered.
Ooft this is pretty.
This is a terrific machine. Heat added.
Damn is that a screen on the keyboard?

I got the non-Duo version of this last month and it's lovely - this is obviously way more powerful, but I couldn't see myself using the keyboard screen at all. Great screen though
Oh dayum! That'd be a good price for the 512GB storage 16GB ram model but is fantastic for the 1TB 32GB model! I would buy that in a heartbeat if I had the cash floating around at the moment.

I do wonder whether they're going to release an updated model at CES 2020 but AFAIK there's no updated gpus or CPUs they could switch to.

Linux support for the second screen is apparently fantastic since it's just a second screen as if it were connected by HDMI, but not so for the WiFi card. Intel WiFi so that should get sorted eventually.

What do you mean sorry? For this model? Or laptops in general? Because laptops in general this doesn't hold a candle to some..
Doesn't come with pedals.

Cool, hot.
Great price for this. If I wasn’t bias and tied into Mac OS I would consider this. Fairly future proof and enough power to do almost any task.
Also has thunderbolt, usb c and a, face recognition. And comes with a pen.

No but this is overkill for the majority of people.

What's your use case scenario? If its gaming then alienware area 51m it's one of the very best you can get because it uses desktop hardware not laptop.
It looks like a good hardware setup but the RTX 2060 is a bit of a letdown at this price surely? Even a Max-Q RTX 2070 would be a better choice and not unrealistic given the cost.

Tbf the 2060 isn't that much slower than the 2070 max q and 2080 max q in productivity use, the studio drivers for the semi recent 2060 studio drivers are pretty decent too.

But given the price and given it's a component you can't change later, I'd expect more for over £2000. RTX 2060 is a GPU you'll find in £900-1200 machines. It's got a lot of RAM and a big SSD but those aren't prohibitively expensive these days.
Is the touchpad also the numberpad dual use? if so I cant see a left and right button.

But tbf the use case of this is content creation and you don't really need much more than a 2060 (90w), premiere pro is cpu heavy but I agree a 2070 would be nice for the extra 2GB.

This is much better value than its rivals like the DELL XPS 15 7590 which has a gt 1650 or the zbook x2.

I guess if you are a content creator on the move this is the best you can get atm which isn't a desktop replacement type laptop (thic boy) and i guess when in a office etc you could use the thunderbolt for a external gpu and a quadro card but that would be ridiculously exspenive.

Plus 203.4 srgb is kinda mental, i think the macbook pro 15 inch is 120%

Both those machines are a lot less money, and dare I say it, a lot better put together too though. The Zbook X2 is probably a different sector given it's convertible. Just seems pretty niche really and the GPU seems a bit less than you'd expect for the money - I guess I am thinking along the lines of the Razor Blade Advanced. I did also wonder about GeForce instead of Quadro. I'm not the target market anyway, I prefer hefty laptops that I rarely move or desktops and I've never been much of a fan of ASUS build quality or support.

Yeah I'm waiting for CES...hoping for a glut of lower Rez oled screens that can hit 144hz...might be wishful thinking lol

2060 in £900 - 1200 laptops? I doubt the specs of those machines compare with this but if so please share.

Of course they don't... I am talking about laptops that start with this GPU at all, e.g. mid-upper end gaming laptops.

My money would be on Razer for that soon.

I think the dell i mentioned is the same price roughly. But this is only really for content creation hence the i9 and just a 2060. Its a niche and for the niche the specs and price is good for what it is but only at The office price.

One big point of this is the thermals are very consistent as its meant to be a 9-5 work horse yet each to their own!
I've got 17" Hp touchscreen lappy and hardly every touch it - it's not right lol touching the screen after years of not marking them.

Tablets well that's ok!!
Very nice laptop, but if you were happy with a desktop you could build a very high spec pc for this price which would make this look slow.
Anyone seen 14" convertible with dedicated GPU yet?
Says OOS when I click though
oos. hell of a laptop and a very good deal

thanks op

for some reason my £50 voucher added but was removed when paying so looks like i'm ringing them tomorrow morning
The keyboard being off centre would really annoy me, I can see why they’ve done it but no good if you touch type.
Out of stock
