Ive got the i7 / 8gb / 512gb / QHD+ model, was £800 on Amazon, amazing machine, boots in a second, flies on everything, totally instant opening of all apps etc. Basically a MacBook but actually a PC with the spec of a £1500-2000 Apple machine.

On balance I would definitely recommend this model at this price, superb machine
USB ports are slightly different to what you describe on mine - mine has 2 USB3 and 1 USBC plus the display port is micro HDMI I think!

It has 2x USB2 ports, 1x USB3, 1x USB3 Type C, HDMI and SD Card slot
Does this have a backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader. Can anyone confirm?
What’s this model number eg ZenBook UX310UA

It has backlit keyboard, no biometics and harman kardon speakers.

Model is UX310U (sold as Zenbook UX310UA check the EAN number for confirmation)

Yes.
Nice.

I picked up the zenbook i7, 8GB ram model. Brilliant laptop. But........

Im gonna be selling it as the 13.3" screen im really struggling with as im coming form a 24". Will try to get a 15.6" model instead.
Does the system fan stay on nearly all the time on this model or only when doing something strenuous? I've heard it's on 95% time which would annoy me in a quiet room. Cheers

Different specs but a comprehensive review:

Take a look as they may well have reviewed the QHD+ Touch screen version as well which will have worse battery life for sure.
