For easy transfers of data from your mobile devices, there's also a microSD card reader.

I bought this when it's £443 from ebuyer ebay. A few pros and cons here:

+ Full metal construction despite feeling like plastic, presumably for weight reduction.
    + OLED screen is gorgeous
+ Connectivity is fast. 700Mb IRL speed under 1Gb internet with Wifi 6.
+ thunderbolt and DP Alt (1.4?)
+ Great battery. Can last a full day IRL
+ Fan noise can be set to silent in ASUS app in exchange for performance
+ Very portable. Just above 1kg
+ Overall feels sleek and well-built for a mid-range laptop
    - Mini Shift key is pain
    - 8GB ram soldered, no chance to upgrade
    - Hinge design is not the most robost design. This is changed in newer 2022 model
    - Glossy and very reflective screen

At the end of day, it depends on your use case. What I want is a basic secondary portable machine (along with my gaming desktop) that is as affordable as possible without giving up on screen and build quality, and this ticks all the box. Its probably good enough for non-engineering class school use too.

Otherwise, I would opt for something beefier (i5-1240P/R6800) with 16GB ram
We have the UX325, the WiFi reception is terrible on it

Voted hot! Not only decent specs, but OLED and Zenbook, so expect better built quality and better look than Vivobook. Just 1kg, Thunderbolt too and 12 month interest free PayPal credit. Bargain IMO, shame is nit 16GB RAM to tick all the boxes, but still good.

Only negative, this was £40 cheaper 3 weeks ago from ebuyer ebay using the discount code. And before bringing AMD in discussion, you'll not get Thunderbolt with AMD. The screen is often better on Zenbook Intel but may be irrelevant with the OLED screen. (edited)
I'm not sure about the build quality... I bought one of these recently but ended up returning it. The machine felt very flimsy, the screen wobbles a lot, even when you're typing on it at a desk. The hinge mechanism is supposed to lift the machine up, presumably to let more air into the vents on thr bottom, but it turns the screen to jelly.

Isn’t this the same machine direct from ebuyer slightly cheaper? ebuyer.com/141…86t
    ….the same laptop plus delivery

It’s worth getting the one with 16GB RAM which was under £500 recently, has similar features and the OLED panel everyone wants.
Give the link of this zenbook? or is it a vivobook ?

Ok….. I think it was a vivobook ….two different designs (edited)

Don't know how to post deals on here but came across and ordered this myself earlier this evening!

For my daughter at uni - The battery life and fast charging was a big plus for me. Looks like a cracking display and nice decent quality build...

Is OLED really suitable for computer screens where certain images are static for a long time? E.g the taskbar?

Looking for a laptop for my partner to use during her university course. Would this suffer from screen burn when writing essays etc?

Should have 16GB RAM. You can't upgrade these.
