8gb ram is basically no good for anything these days. Windows and an anti virus take 4gb just on its own. I hope its upgradable

No it doesn't, my current Windows install on my PC with antivirus and other programs take about 2gb max, 8gb is fine still

I bought an xps13 with 16GB Ram, 512SSD, QHD display and 8th gen i7 for £950, but the outlet is obviously far more hassle than John Lewis and only 1 year support.
Only 13" but there are some similar spec'd Dell Inspiron 2-in-1's on the outlet at the moment for about £700 once VAT added.

Can someone inform Mark that windows 10 uses at least 4gb of ram? And Thats without bloatware. Unfortunately this is the reality of computers these days

Thats funny my daughter has a laptop with 3gb ram that came preloaded with windows 10 64 bit, and running kaspersky internet security and opens several tabs/ pages without to much of an issue and minmum requirments for 64 bit is 2gb ram so where are you getting your facts ? 8gb is plenty
