This is the UX which is the intel offering of the entry level zenbook. It’s got the i5 whiskey lake with no discrete graphics.

The UM version of this UM431DA has exact same specs with an amd ryzen 5 chip.

I’d would go for the latter one, has recently been for sale for £500 at currys too. Better graphics and similar processor, exact same quality build and screen, and all the extras including the number touch pad.

DDR3 Laptop memory in 2020 is a big no for me on this laptop.

This is exactly what I did after much reading and comparing. It's my 3rd Zenbook and each been awesome. This is a really nice machine. Great screen IMO, even better than my previous more expensive Zenbook.
